Camellia Dermatology | Amy Ananth, MD

After a horrible first experience with a different local dermatologist a neighbor told me about Camellia. From the first phone call with Charlene to my first step into the door, I was greeted by a staff that was truly invested in their patients. Being a person with a high level of skin cancer occurrences, a great dermatologist is my lifeline. I have experienced poor care in the past which was undiagnosed cancers. You could say I am extremely diligent in search for not good, but great care. Dr. Ananth was very thorough. A full body exam is not a quick view. She addressed my concerns with care and professionalism. Her team was excellent! I would certainly recommend the practice.

Just moved to the area and Dr. Ananth was recommended. She is very personable and eager to help me with my issue. Staff was great and they have a great selection if skin care products I use (Elta sunscreen). The office is nice and larger than I expected.

I have not been to a Dermatologist in decades. I finally went to Camellia Dermatology for an appointment. They were the BEST! I was impressed from the minute I walked in. Everyone from the reception desk to Dr. Ananth were both friendly and professional. Dr Ananth and her assistant explained everything to me and what course we would take in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend Camellia Dermatology.

10/09/2024 My fourth visit to my Dermatologist on this date. This is one of my favorite Doctors, Ann Ananth. Checkin is always easy and comfortable with this really kind, respectful and quick staff. The entire staff is friendly and very kind. Dr Ann and staff treats you as family and clearly inspects your skin for any disorders, and fully explains all steps to solve a problem area if needed. Oh I didn't mention the new office located at 98th and 59. It's next to the Post office in Foley, Al. The office is clean, well decorated and has plenty of new well decorated rooms. If you need the excellent service of a Dermatologist, please see Dr Ananth. You will not be disappointed! My first visit to this dermatologist in Foley Al. Doctor Ann Ananth had a very good assistant, who did a very good job on the initial interview. She was very kind and respectful. Doctor Ananth reviewed the information and made a thoral examination of my discussed areas. She explained exactly what she was looking for and treatment. I was pleased with her treatment and her wanting to know if I had any past issue's, and treatment. She also wanted to know when my last examination was made and what, if any, was treated. My only recommendation, of course, is nothing about her process, but the signage in locating her office is not clear in the building. We agreed to have a 6 month schedule to keep ahead of any issues! Update May 8th, 2023 I had my six month skin examination today at Camellia Dermatologist. I was interviewed by Brooke, who I might add is very thorough, kind, knowledgeable, and respectful. My examination was completed by Dr. Ananth. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and did a great job. The doctor did find a couple of places that required biopsies and other spots that required the freeze treatment. I am ok with that procedure, which could prevent future problems. The entire staff at Camellia are very kind and did a great job. I would recommend Camellia Dermatologists for your treatment of your skin. They do have other areas of treatment for your skin. 06/07/24 Today I had my 6 month appointment for a body check for any skin disorders, by Dr Ann. I was greeted at check-in by the friendly staff at Camella Dermatology. It's always a pleasure going to this Office. The entire staff is always friendly, and kind. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was taken to the examination room. Dr Ann came in shortly after Jessica completed the interview and checked my current information, and asked if I had any concerned issues that needed to be addressed Dr Ann checked my body for any areas of concern. She found and determined there were some spots which needed frozen, and one spot needing a biopsy, which was painlessly taken care of now. She advised as soon as the lab results were completed, I would be notifiedpromptly, and if a follow-up appt was needed. The entire process and examination, was completed quickly, and effectively. If you need the services of a great Dermatologist, I would highly recommend this office, with Dr Ann Ananth, and her staff, you won't be disappointed!

Dr. Ananth is thorough, professional but friendly. She is easy to talk to and never rushes you in and out. Allison is a wonderful nurse as well, and everyone explains well what they are doing and why. I feel very confident that my dermatology health is well taken care of.
