My experience with the staff and doctor was very nice. Unfortunately they pulled teeth I did NOT inquire about. I was referred by my dentist over a year ago for 4 extractions but none of those were giving me any pain. When I called I informed them this over the phone. (I pray that there is recording because I do plan on taking a different route.) Nonetheless, I explained that I was referred by her so that they know how I even came about. I let her know that that the 2 giving me pain we’re not the ones that the dentist put on her referral. She told me to come in so that we can do a consultation and an x-ray. She also provided a rough estimate of a little over 600 dollars. Pus 150.00 for a deposit! No problem I just needed the pain gone! Also, just to be clear, I do not have insurance so all of my payments were out-of-pocket. They asked me which tooth was bothering me multiple times AND they did x-ray to confirm. The doctor came in for two seconds, I pointed it out to him he said no problem & to get me scheduled. When I came out to pay for my consultation and book the appointment I was told it would be over $2000. I assume they got the referral and was adding on the teeth that the dentist had suggested needed pulling and I figured why not just go ahead and get it all out of the way at one time so I accepted the appointment. When I went in the day of my actual appointment, they asked me again to confirm which tooth it was. I pointed at the exact tooth AGAIN. After my appointment, I went home, recovered and realized they did not pull the tooth that I went in for initially, which left me in the exact pain that I’ve had this entire time. I went back to talk to them. The doctor did exactly what I knew he would do which was try to convince me that it was not his error. He did nothing to correct it. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! He tried to say oh now that we pulled these you noticed that it is this one?? NO I never had a issue with any of the teeth that he pulled because the only thing he pulled were roots from teeth that were broken down. I made that clear on the phone before I booked my consultation, at the consultation, and the day of the actual surgery that I was OK if I only got this particular tooth pull but if it makes sense to get everything out at one time and get it done, With no problem. So now he’s come up with another plan that cost over $3000 for this one tooth that they should have told me at my initial consultation or spent more than 60 seconds in the room so that he can confirm that he was removing the right tooth instead of getting the paperwork from the dentist and going off what she wrote vs what I told him/them-when I specifically told him and the nurses that the teeth that she put on the referral were not bothering me, but I came because he was one of the top people that she referred that is the only reason I brought her up in the first place. Very sad that’s how this went and it’s also very sad that I am now still in excruciating pain out of over $2000 and no accountability from the provider whatsoever. With everything going on in this economy, do better and treat your patients better!! I was wiling to pay that amount due to the amount of pain I was in. So to be bamboozled out of it and no accountability is very sad.. I could tell by the way the nurses were acting and talking, they knew exactly what the issue was. HE just wanted to play confused. It’s also sad because I thought they were really nice.

Where do I begin. I spent so much time researching the doctors here in huntsville, checking out their bio, website and reviews from every platform I could find. I chose Dr. Mclain and I am so glad that I did. His staff is so friendly and thoughtful. Dr. Mclain is so knowledgeable and highly skilled. He's a straight shooter. He didn't try to upsell, but he listened to what I wanted and told me what would be best. I felt good about my decision, but we all love confirmation. My confirmation came during my pre registration. I had a lab technician tell me she's never met Dr. Mclain, but has heard great things about him. During my overnight stay in the hospital, one of the nurses told me that Dr. Mclain treats them with such respect and consideration, unlike some doctors who can be quite arrogant. It all matters. I have never felt better about a decision. I'm swollen and bandaged, but I can see the results, and I am quite pleased. Dr. Mclain took the time to personally call my family member with updates. It is a pleasure to find a professional who is so good at his job and yet so humble. I highly recommend Mclain surgical Arts!

i went there to get some teeth pulled and a biopsy, the staff was so sweet to me. the girl who hooked me up to the iv and stuff was grate and did her best job to make sure i didnt feel the little pinch from the needle. And the other girl was so nice to me the whole time she even gave me a little rub on the shoulder when she could tell i was scared of the needle. Dr mclain did the procedure and him and his crew did a grate job! 10/10

McLain and the staff gives me personalized and prompt care that makes me feel like an important client and I see others being treated the same way. We're all important at McLain's.

The entire team is wonderful! They listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly. I was super anxious the entire time. They helped me calm down and made me feel safe. Would highly recommend them!! Thank you guys so much!!
