Disappointed with My Experience at Skinvolution Laser & Vein Center I recently visited Skinvolution for an armpit laser hair removal treatment, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. From the start, I was asked to clean my own armpits before the procedure, which felt unprofessional. During the treatment, I noticed the aesthetician struggling to adjust the device to my skin tone — I’m Black — which raised concerns about their experience with treating darker skin tones. The entire procedure was rushed, lasting about 5 minutes, and I was charged $88. Just 3 days after the session, it was clear the follicles hadn’t been properly targeted — there was no visible effect, as if the hairs weren’t lasered at all. I called the clinic 7days later to share my concerns, but instead of offering a solution, Nicole emphasized how experienced their aesthetician is, dismissing my complaint entirely. I had hoped to establish care at this clinic since I recently moved to the area, but this experience has left me deeply disappointed. It’s disheartening to feel that my skin tone wasn’t properly considered during treatment. To my fellow people of color — especially Black women — I want to share this experience so you’re aware that this clinic may not be equipped to cater to our specific needs. I truly hope Skinvolution takes this feedback seriously and invests in better training and inclusivity for all skin tones.

My experience at Skinvolution has been exceptional and the results of my Erbium Laser exceeded my expectations. My skin looks brighter, clearer, and more plumped due to the building of collagen. Dr Patel and her staff have always treated me with extreme curiosity and respect. I highly recommend this center and plan to continue receiving more services with Dr Patel.

Dr. Patel is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and takes time to listen to her patients needs. I initially went in to have laser work done on a scar that bothered me. The outcome was amazing and since then I have gone back for other services. Highly recommend SkinVolution!

Went in for a consultation with Dr. Patel. She was very helpful and knowledgeable so I decided to go through with the tattoo laser removal. Edit: been going for tattoo laser removal for a year now, Priscilla is absolutely amazing! I love her! She’s really nice and makes me feel comfortable and confident.
