If I made a review after my first visit, it would have been 5 stars and I would've raved about them. I thought they were great. I told more than one person that it was the best medical appointment I'd gone to, possibly ever. Both Dr. Claborn and her nurse are fantastic. I was impressed with the bedside manner. They were professional, yet warm. The biopsies didn't hurt at all. The sutures were well done. I don't think I'll even a small scar. They were prompt. Again, it would have been 5 stars. I can honestly say that I enjoyed the appointment. (My assessment of them still stands. I would definitely recommend). My problem was with my follow up appointment, which IMHO, was completely unnecessary. I was going to cancel it, because I thought it was to only to remove three sutures, which I was perfectly capable of doing. When I spoke to their staff member, the day before the appointment, to cancel, they told me I needed to come in because they needed to discuss the test results with me. For some reason, I assumed that meant they needed to discuss the test results with me. I communicated that I'm unable to drive and didn't have transportation. It was reiterated, that I needed to come in. (I'll briefly mention that was worrisome. Was it something bad???) I offered to pay a friend $25, to take off work, and drive me to the appointment. When I got there, they didn't have the test results and told me that they would have to call me. Why did I come in??? $25 might not be a lot to a lot of people, but I'm on a fixed income. I felt as though I wasted an hour and a half of my time, plus a friend's time. They did actually remove the sutures for me, because once I knew I HAD to go in, I figured I would let them do it. So there is that. But again, I would have been able to do that for myself. Dr Claborns's nurse, was friendly, gentle, professional, and prompt. Once again, from a medical perspective, I think they're fabulous. Absolutely no complaints. From a communication perspective, and respect for the patient's time, it was frustrating. I still highly recommend them. This has been a learning lesson for me though. The next time something like this happens, I'll make sure to ask whether the test results, that will be discussed, are actually in.
I stressed over my appointment (a simple exam) for over 3 months for no reason! Dr. Claborn was thorough, conservative, and very personable. The entire staff was friendly and knew how to handle my anxiety as well. Ultimately, I had no procedure needed, but I'm glad I went to get checked out! I HAVE FOUND MY DERMATOLOGIST! If you're concerned about a spot, or mole or whatever, just go see Dr. Claborn at Ozark Dermatology, you'll be in good hands!
Janelle Claborn and her team are very knowledgeable and thorough, not to mention warm and welcoming. We have been so pleased with the care that both of our children have received - we highly recommend them.
I selected this organization based on patient reviews, but after visiting the Siloam location, I have determined that the 5 star reviews are for patients that have seen an actual doctor in another location and not just a Certified Assistant. I was very disappointed that none of my questions and/or concerns could be or were addressed and the assistant couldn't get out of the room fast enough. If I didn't have an important issue to ME to stem the need for an appointment then I would not of been there! I would not recommend the Siloam facility to see an Assistant - stick to other locations that you can actually see a doctor that can spend the time to address issues, questions and concerns and spend more than 4 minutes with the patient. In my opinion, I am the paying "customer" and I expect to be treated as such....health care should not be quantity and how many patients you can shuffle through and collect from! It should be quality of care and this location fell very short. Most organizations train their employees on how to be compassionate and caring, in addition to, people skills. Maybe this should be addressed and continued education on the same should be required. And NO, I don't need an auto generated response as to sorry for the unpleasant experience and you aim to please.
Nice people, comfortable office, and very knowledgeable practitioners. They put my daughter and me at ease and were able to answer all of our questions. Also, pricing was very transparent and they were flexible with pharmacy options and products. Will definitely recommend to others.
