Skin and Cancer Institute - Bakersfield (California Ave.)

Arrived a few minutes before my appointment and waited less than 10 minutes to be seen, which as a new patient is phenomenal. Dr was kind and even paused before leaving the room to answer my questions thoroughly. He even ran through a plan of care to correlate with my travels. Quick, kind, efficient and I still felt heard.

Rude doctor, who obviously does not have children. They were trying to force us inside the room with the door closed and my daughter was not having it, be mindful she is only 12 months. When they came in, I was on the phone with an employer who I’m trying to work for. He said he would be back and proceed to make us wait another 15 minutes before he came back. I looked around the office and there was no one else in the room and the bottom floor was packed Full of patients waiting. And this point I was getting upset. I work in a hospital I know how things go. The “doctor “came to look at my skin and then said he had to go check the insurance. He made us wait about another 10 minutes at this point. My child was already flustered. She did not want to be in the room so I was trying to walk around with her and smooth her. That’s when they were trying to force us back into the room with the door closed. Very rude already looking for a better dermatologist, he was super young and had an attitude. I will say the receptionist and first girl that saw me were very nice. Worth mentioning

Doctor and Staff were excellent! I'm very happy with the services I received. I did almost get run over crossing from your building over to the other side where I parked my Apparently somebody ran the light and accelerated into the parking area. But that has no reflection upon your company.

I would give this office a 5 star rating if the reception staff were friendly. They did not greet me. Just do you have an appointment. They set tone for the office. All other aspects of visit were excellent. Back of house medical staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like they cared.

My son had a suspicious mole pop up suddenly. We have skin cancer in our family, so I was concerned. They got us in quickly and got him taken care of with no pain. Very happy with our visit!
