Dr. Rachel D. Bak, MD

Because of this office/doctor's lack of care for their patients, I was denied refills on my medication without advanced noticed due to bs with their contracting. They're really good at making sick people suffer because of their negligence, I went through having my meds stopped twice while going there. Nothing but stress and drawn out illness.

I waited less than 2 minutes in the waiting room before being called back. I had to finish the new patient paperwork in the exam room even! Dr. Bak came in very soon after and was very personable. She engaged me with a smile and a handshake and humor, she listened to my problem, offered reassurance and ultimately explained in detail her plan of care. She even made a point to tell me, that although she was doing this one thing today, that it was also a "to be determined' intervention once we got more information from the lab. She even said, "I don't want you to think I'm just doing this and then it's 'See ya'!" The medication she prescribed caused some difficulty with my insurance and required pre-authorization (which she did warn me about being a potential), but unfortunately when I called her office back that morning, her receptionist wasn't very helpful and a little more abrupt than I would have preferred, she did assure me someone would call me back with an answer on how to proceed though. Sadly the day continued and I didn't hear back. I called again in the late afternoon, but this time got to the person handling prescription issues. She was extremely helpful and efficient. She told me what they were gonna do, how long it should take and gave me a number to call them back if it wasn't resolved by the next day. So...overall, an excellent first experience with Dr. Bak and her staff (except for a possibly overworked receptionist). Perhaps she was having a rough morning? The sign of a good team though, is that if one person drops the ball the others pick up the slack. As a new patient I would highly recommend Dr. Bak. I felt valued and heard. Problems arise, that's inevitable, but Dr. Bak's office handled them efficiently and effectively.

I love Dr. Bak!! She is totally personable, relatable and easy to talk to. I found her after my last full body mole exam with a different doctor was so lacking in both care and time (a male dr that literally scanned my entire body in maybe 8 seconds). Dr. Bak took the time to really look at every mole on me, answered all my questions and was just awesome. I’ve gone back to her for over 4 years now, every time awesome experience. Recently I had a little cyst and enlarged pore on my forehead removed and it was a total breeze with her! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

We have been seeing Dr Bak for 10 years! We would not keep going back if she wasn’t special!

Poor business practices. They are primarily looking to make money.
