Let me just begin by saying I hardly ever write negative reviews. I usually only write reviews when I have something positive to say. However, my experience at Bella Skin was so terrible that I felt I’d be doing a disservice to those considering getting work done here, if I didn’t write one. I first went in for a consultation with Dr. Guanche back in June of this year to see if I was a good candidate for getting fillers in some scarring I have on my cheeks. During the consultation, she was super nice and welcoming and let me know I could get Juvederm to minimize the appearance of the scars. Even though she stated there was no downtime for the procedure, I had a few events that upcoming week and didn’t want to risk having swelling and bruising so I opted for another time. Fast forward to October, I finally decided to go back to get the fillers done. Again, Dr. Guanche was very nice and quickly got down to business filling in the scars. I left looking pretty swollen, but I knew this was expected and according to the Dr. the swelling (lumps) and needle marks would go away in about a week. I left the office feeling hopeful that this procedure would, in the long run, improve the appearance of my scars. Fast forward to day 6 post-procedure (almost at the week mark) and I still had large, hard lumps on my cheeks where the filler was injected. At this point I was already becoming concerned so I decided to reach out to Bella Skin for advice. I left a message with the front desk and I didn’t get a response until the following afternoon after having followed up regarding my concerns. Per the front desk, Dr. Guanche said it takes up to 14 days for the filler to completely settle so she asked that I wait the full 2 weeks and if by that time the lumps still hadn’t gone away, to go back in to see her. I waited about 16 days before going back to see her. At this time the lumps were intact. I will never forget what transpired next. I waited in the room for Dr. Guanche feeling anxious and disappointed, hoping that she could provide some insight as to what had happened and, of course, a solution to the lumps. When she walked in, she greeted me and asked me what the problem was. I explained. She responded simply by saying that they could dissolve the filler and issue a refund. That’s it. No explanation, no apology, no sympathy for having spent weeks with lumps on my face. Nothing. I agreed to have the filler dissolved so she had the nurse get the Hyaluronidase ready and as we waited she asked to point out the lumps, so I did. Now, before she started to inject I kindly asked if she could bring in the overhead light that she used to inject the filler in the first place so that the lumps could be easily viewed and effectively dissolved. She replied by saying “Nope, we don’t have one in this room” and proceeded to insert the needle in my face. I was in shock. I couldn’t believe how dismissive and indifferent she was of the situation. She was a completely different person than the one I met during the consultation and procedure. When she had “finished” injecting the dissolving agent, I asked her how many sessions I would need to completely remove the filler and she responded by saying only one session and that I would go back to the way I was before in about a full week. Mind you, by this time I had already done my research online and read that it usually takes more than one session to remove fillers completely. I guess you could say I was just testing her to see what she would say…(read the rest of my experience in the attachment below)

The most amazing doctor that I have received treatment from. Very talented and knowledgeable! I have done fillers in my cheeks, lips, chin, under eyes, Botox everywhere, laser scar removal, chemical peel and PRP and micro needling with her and am very happy with my results. Also, Love love love her personality and her staff. Very friendly and caring. Also, very LGBT friendly. I am transgender and am treated like royalty whenever there. Thanks Dr. Guanche! 💕💕💕
