West Dermatology Carlsbad

Similar experience in shady and unfair billing. I have been getting regular mole checks for years at another office and never had any issues or concerns, then went to West Dermatology this year so my annual check and without any explanation they took a mole.Similar to other reviewers, I got the surprise bill for all of the pathology even though it was not cosmetic and deemed necessary (and no surprise everything was totally fine!). Office staff was rude and in general they seem to be more in the business of making money then caring for patients.Would not go back.

The staff is really good and Britt is the bomb, super skilled and made me feel comfortable...I think when she took out the mole, she took a little piece of my heart by accident... :-)

I had gone here for a small Tag Removal only to find out they didn't do that so I was caught off guard by that. She (Alyson) instead did a through skin visualization and was very professional, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to with any questions I might have had. It was an Excellent experience once I had gone through the small Biopsy she did. I would Highly Recommend Alyson if you have an option to do so...Superb Job Alyson !!! Many Thanks

Loved the Dr. do not like the staff! Unprofessional, unfriendly and curt. They don’t seem happy. I waited over an hour for my appointment and checked with the guy behind the desk-he said he would check and came back and simply said “she’s busy”. A more professional answer would have been welcomed.

The office is very clean and nice with personable staff. However, I was disappointed in my appointment starting about 20 to 30 minutes late, and then I only saw the Dr very briefly. When the appointment wrapped the Dr told me I would get my treatment plan and pricing at the front. Because of this I didn’t ask the Dr further questions. What I received was just a pamphlet for a treatment, but there was no pricing or direction on whether I needed a spot or complete treatment, and not all of my skin concerns seem to be covered in the pamphlet. This is left me confused on exactly what I should book and what it will cost. The experience here would be greatly improved by just closing this gap.
