Face Reality Acne Clinic

Made us fill out a 30 minute questionnaire including every single product (make up and skin care) that we use to check for ingredients that can cause break outs before the appointment and then proceeded to ignore it and tell us to look everything up ourselves. The advice was all just blanket advice and consisted of avoiding just about everything. No sugar, no salt, no oil, no tofu/soy products, no sunlight, no dairy, no exercise, no sweat, no wind, no waxing, etc. It wasn't pinpointing any issue or trying to find what makes my wife break out. We noted early on that my wife would be trying to get pregnant in the next year and was taking prenatal vitamins and their suggestion was to stop taking prenatals. I get that we're here for skin services, but you need to realize that our future baby is more important than anything you're doing. They're advice wasn't sensitive or tailored to the client at all, it was 100% generic. We also noted that my wife has had a bad history with benzoyl peroxide and they just straight up ignored it because their product line doesn't have options to go without it. The advisor straight up told my wife that she had to "get over that". The entire talk also just felt very salesy. It was come every 2 weeks, pay us a ton of money, and buy and only use all of our products. They were like "oh as long as you avoid x, y, and z you're fine" and then proceeded to try to make us sign a contract limiting us to only using their products even if others could be okay. Also, they try to act as a doctors office, but then had the galls to ask for a tip! This establishment is exactly what's wrong with tipping culture these days.

Face Reality has helped me learn what causes and aggravates my acne and has helped me find a routine to get clear skin and keep it that way. I have experienced a lot of anxiety and self-consciousness because of my acne and Face Reality has helped me move past that and realize that there are lots of ways to change my daily habits that will alter my complexion and improve my overall well-being. The estheticians are incredibly kind and patient with me, even when I mess up and occasionally skip my routine or eat dairy - BEWARE DAIRY! The atmosphere in the waiting room is calm and there are great magazines, not to mention the awesome before and after binders of previous/current clients. The receptionists are super nice, the personalized mineral make-up is fantastic, and booking appointments is super easy and flexible. I would 100% recommend this to other people. If you have tried other things and have lost hope, try one more. You have to be diligent and stick to your routine, but it really is worth it. Thank you Face Reality!

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but I would be remiss in not acknowledging the excellent service I received with Desiree today. Desiree was knowledgeable, thorough and professional in every aspect of her service. She understood what was going on with my skin & gave me excellent and honest feedback on how to correct mistakes I was making with my at home care. All of the skin care professionals at Face Reality know their stuff and I’ve never had a bad experience, but Desiree has been the best by far!

Upon walking in I noticed it was a very clean and light environment. They have testimonials and useful information in the waiting area that make it easier for you to put your trust in these people. I feel like I should also point out that the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They don’t try and force procedures onto you if you’re uncomfortable with them, and their products are reasonably priced. I was a little skeptical about this place at first but after walking out I felt as if it was the best decision I have ever made regarding my once seemingly hopeless case of acne. I’ll definitely be coming in often.

I started going to Face Reality in October because at this point my skin was inflamed with acne. I tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, but nothing helped my skin. It has been five months and my skin is definitely improving. Because of the severity of my acne I’m still trying to get rid of my acne scars but other than that my skin is significantly smoother, I may get one or two bumps but it’s manageable. I definitely recommend Face Reality because they will give you real result that work and although it is expensive it’s worth it!
