I'm writing this to help prevent anyone else from going through the difficult experience I had with this business. Over the past few years, I underwent two separate breast procedures performed by Dr. Ali. Unfortunately, the first procedure was unsuccessful. While the office offered me a discount for a second surgery, I still paid a significant amount out-of-pocket. Sadly, the second procedure also failed. When I reached out to Dr. Ali and his office to discuss my concerns and explore solutions, their only suggestion was to attempt the procedure a third time. I expressed that I no longer felt comfortable moving forward with them due to the risk of experiencing the same outcome. I wanted to seek care from another doctor I could trust. In response, Dr. Ali acknowledged that he may not have the necessary skill set to perform the procedure successfully and stated that he would instruct the office to issue me a refund. After taking some time to carefully consider my options, I contacted the office to request my refund--only to be told they would not be providing one. I have since spoken to others who have had similarly negative experiences with this office, and I've even heard Dr. Ali referred to as "The Butcher of Newport." The stress, time away from my family, and financial burden caused by this ordeal have been immeasurable. There are many skilled plastic surgeons in the area--please do yourself a favor and avoid this office. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Ali or his practice. Thank you. Kelly DeWitt

Dr Ali made me feel very comfortable and walked me and my mom through every detail of the process of top surgery. Not only do they do amazing work, they are very kind and professional. My greatest fear for finding somewhere to get top surgery done is being discriminated against or looked down on for being transgender. I never felt uncomfortable at South Coast Plastic Surgery. Dr Ali and South Coast have been such an oasis after a long and turbulent journey in plastic surgery for me. Prior to realizing I am transgender, I had a long journey with implants, capsular contracture, infection, and more. When I finally came to a point of learning that not only may I be suffering from breast implant illness, I also didn’t want breasts at all anymore. It was challenging to find a surgeon that understood the scope of my concerns and didn’t charge thousands of dollars for each of my “special circumstances” due to my history and unique needs. I found Dr. Ali and he understood exactly what I wanted, didn’t make me feel weird for the unique set of needs I had, and was very affordable. After 8 surgeries, I’ve become very familiar with this process. Dr Ali is by far the most compassionate, understanding, and enjoyable surgeon to work with. After my past experiences I was so blown away with the level of kindness and care that I was treated with by not only Dr Ali but everyone at South Coast. This is the first surgical process I’ve had where I was also prepped on and supported for the emotional and mental needs that come up around a surgery. And unlike some of my other experiences, the kindness didn’t end after surgery. I have felt truly taken care of on both physical and emotional levels the entire step of the way. I can’t sing enough praises for Dr Ali and his team. I felt like me and my needs were truly important and he very much cares about his patients happiness. It was a truly healing experience on so many levels. Not just for my body, but for my trust and emotional safety in this process!

Embarking on the journey of rhinoplasty entails placing immense hope and trust in a surgeon’s hands. My experience with Dr. Ali Qureshi, however, has been a disaster marked by disappointment, frustration, and unmet promises. From the beginning, Dr. Qureshi and I discussed my goals: refining the tip of my nose, correcting its crookedness, and addressing a deviated septum. While he managed to correct the septum a year ago, the final outcome of the surgery has been an utter failure. Photo of the final result of my rhinoplasty can be seen on my Yelp review. Despite some initial signs of technical skill in refining the tip, the persistent deformity of my nose is a glaring testament to the botched job. My nose remains crooked and deformed, causing me endless frustration and emotional distress. During my recent consultation, I expressed my deep concerns about the deformity, hoping for a solution. Dr. Qureshi’s response was dismissive and unsatisfactory. He refused to consider further intervention, citing vague concerns about complications, leaving me feeling abandoned and hopeless. Adding to my concerns is the discrepancy in the surgery duration. Dr. Qureshi assured me of a comprehensive four-hour procedure, but the actual time spent was significantly shorter. This raises serious questions about the thoroughness and quality of his surgical approach. Furthermore, Dr. Qureshi strategically waited two years to inform me that he would not perform the revision surgery he initially agreed to during our consultation. This tactic is not only dishonest but corrupted to the core. Overall, my rhinoplasty journey has been marred by profound disappointment and disillusionment. Despite correcting the deviated septum, the enduring deformity of my nose is a constant reminder of Dr. Qureshi’s failure to deliver on his promises. I invested over $18,000 into this procedure, only to be left with a deformed nose and enduring emotional distress. Dr. Qureshi’s inability to deliver the promised outcomes underscores the urgent need for greater accountability and transparency in cosmetic surgery. I caution anyone considering rhinoplasty to avoid Dr. Ali Qureshi and exercise extreme caution. Thoroughly research and vet your chosen surgeon to avoid the devastating consequences I’ve faced. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I hope my story serves as a warning to others.
