I’ve been getting facials regularly all of my adult life and after I found Skin Lab 7 years ago, there is simply no way I’d go anywhere else - and I’m not alone, Liza has a well-earned loyal following of people who used to have to travel to union square for skin care, but no more! She’s opened a Skin Lab in Marin (with parking!). Somehow she’s been able to reverse the decades of sun-worshipping I did in my youth, and restore what I loved about my skin 20 years ago. Liza’s also an exceptionally lovely person in addition to a skin care magician; there’s no one like her, I just adore her.

Well, my first facial was an extraordinary experience! A wondeful gift from my son. The SkinLab setting was welcoming and calming. Liza explained her state-of-the art procedures and I felt the session was seamless and comforting. After a week, my face feels baby-soft with the splotchiness removed. At 73, that is a significant gain! Liza is a well-educated and trained aesthetician. She is warm and gentle, with sense of inclusiveness and a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you, Liza, for my facial spa day. I will be back. Now, to look into the recommendations for personal care to extend the benefits of my facial.

I have been going to Liza for years. I frequently have people tell me I look 10 years younger than my actual age and compliment me on my skin. Liza is simply the best! Her background in chemistry is readily apparent. She is the most knowledgeable and skilled aesthetician I have ever been to. Plus she is incredibly responsive to questions and is just a great person. This review is long overdue! Liza is amazing! A gifted esthetician who has worked closely with notable dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons in SF, she has years of experience working with clients helping them improve the health/appearance of their skin. Liza knows the right combination of moisturizer, serum, glycolic acid (and sunscreen, always) that will nourish/protect your skin. Her advice for healthier skin is always straight forward, never complicated and she never tries to force you to purchase unnecessary products/treatments. And speaking of treatments she knows which ones, from chemical peels to LED Therapy to microcurrent facial toning, that will best support the health of your skin. I started seeing Liza at her original location in SF back in 2015 and when she moved to San Anselmo I initially wasn’t sure if I would be able to continue to see her because its a bit of a drive from where I live. But now I cannot imagine not seeing her for my regular facials! The 30-40 minute drive is so worth it! The facials are a treat but in reality they have been an investment in the health of my skin. Liza has transformed my skin from dull and hyper-pigmented to smooth and glowing. In addition to her expertise as an esthetician she is also one of the kindest people I know … she is smart, generous and has a great sense of humor. And her assistant, Small Fry is a great addition to her studio! He calms the nerves making the process of getting extractions a whole lot easier!
