I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Kelly Flores at the Skin and Cancer Institute, and I can't recommend her highly enough. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Flores took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options. Her professionalism and expertise were evident, and I appreciated her compassionate approach. She answered all my questions patiently and made sure I felt informed about the procedures. The clinic itself was clean and well-organized, which added to the positive experience. I felt confident in the care I received, and I am already seeing improvements in my skin health. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and caring dermatologist, Dr. Kelly Flores is an excellent choice. I will definitely be returning for my future skin care needs!
The staff were professional, pleasant and organized. They answered questions and were attentive to my needs. The atmosphere was calm. Kelly Flores did a thorough but not rushed exam. She read my medical history and asked more defining questions than the report covered. I never felt that time was more important than patient needs. I did have a short wait but nothing compared to what I've gotten used to at other medical facilities.
Outstanding service! I like the ability to do the paperwork on-line before going to the office, a real time saver! The staff are all very personable and knowledgeable! Even though my appointment was late in the afternoon, I was not met with tired, fatigued, grumpy staff! Dr. Flores was thorough in their check on my condition and setting up follow up procedures, I never felt hurried, my questions were answered, very good experience! I highly recommend the Institute!
I started experiencing hair loss at sixteen, and by early 2024, the situation had worsened. I was referred to the Skin and Cancer Institute in Merced and had my first appointment at the end of April. During that visit, they examined my hair and mentioned they would request Medi-Cal authorization for injections to help with the hair loss. At my second appointment in early May, they informed me that Medi-Cal had approved the injections. I signed the necessary paperwork, but then the doctor and nurse came in and told me that they didn’t actually recommend the injections after all. I forgot to mention, this on my other google review that The doctor also told me that I didn’t have any bald spots or areas where my hair was noticeably missing, which was confusing since I had been dealing with hair loss What I find most frustrating is that they went through the entire process of obtaining Medi-Cal’s approval, only to tell me they weren’t going to proceed with the treatment. It doesn’t make sense to get approval if they weren’t going to follow through. In the end, I never received the injections, and I chose not to attend my third appointment because I didn’t feel there was any point in continuing if they weren’t going to help me.
All the staff were friendly. I didn't wait long at all. They got me in doctor took care of my issue and I was out of there. I would recommend.
