California Skin Institute - Marina/Cow Hollow

So grateful for finding the California Skin Institute on Union St! The office entire staff was fantastic and fit me in for an urgent issue despite not having been a patient previously (I will be now!). Dr. Chen and his nurses had excellent bedside manner and I was in and out quickly, despite it clearly being a busy day in the office. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

From the two receptionists at the front desk & Physician’s Asst. to Dr. Ellison, each/every comm. with these individuals was focused sincerely, directly warm hearted & thoroughly professional. In total making my yearly full body skin examination a 100% completely positive experience.

Dr. Chen took the time to assess my skin and actually seemed to have interest in helping me with my acne and dermatitis. Would definitely recommend, although the receptionist is less than a pleasure to be greeted by!

Great staff. Met Dr Panagotacos back in 2021. Great results in treating hair loss from female pattern baldness. As he’s retiring, I met with Dr Andrew Chen today and he was great at reviewing my file and progress. They have helped me immensely with hair loss. They’ve given me confidence back.

I was there for almost an hour after my appointment time before being seen by the doctor. The doctor’s demeanor was odd and too playful. The nurse (or assistant) was also on the room and they had a lot of dialogue behind me about office stuff and supplies that seemed odd to have in my presence and could have waited until a different time. Will not be back here again.
