As you can see in the attachment, my appointment was set for 9:40 AM. But when I arrived, the clerk informed me I was early that my appointment was for 10 AM. That was annoying. Then, I had driven about 10 miles on my way to a meeting and I got a call from that same clerk. She told me they forgot to give me ice for the area where I had received a laser treatment for cancer removal scars on my face to prevent swelling. Nobody told me that in the pre-visit, or during the visit, that this was needed. So, I swelled up. It seems like a simple thing, but neither the technician who did the treatment or the front desk clerk remembered to give me proper instructions, or in this case a small ice pack that should’ve been applied immediately after the treatment to prevent the swelling. There was really no excuse for this less than professional care. I was disappointed and very surprised by it because the dermatology office that they work for has been nothing but 100% excellent for a number of years. Clearly, this small part of the medical practice needs some work.

Shilpa is the best at anything related to skin aesthetics and care. She knows so much, is so fun and so professional. I totally trust her. She really considers the individual in her suggestions for treatment choices; no cookie cutter approach here. I recommend Shilpa for any skin care and aesthetic needs.

Shilpa is great at what she does. The office staff is kind and explains everything thoroughly. So happy to have this dermatology group here in Santa Cruz!
