I can’t love this place more. I’ve been coming here for at least seven years and each time I’ve had a really good experience. Dr. Melanie Palm is extremely professional and she is very knowledgeable. She stays up-to-date on new treatments. She is considered an expert in her field. The office is very clean and well run. It’s efficient and the staff are all very kind and patient. I highly recommend this office for any things skin care related. I’m a local doctor and I send my patients here for any dermatology concerns or anti-aging treatments.

Art of Skin detected my melanoma early and ultimately saved my life. As a long-term dermatology patient of Dr. Palm and April DeMaggio PA-C, I've relied on them for annual skin cancer checks. During checks, they've consistently documented and addressed suspicious areas, guiding me through basal cell removals when necessary. This year, April's decision to biopsy a particular area led to a diagnosis of melanoma. Following the diagnosis, Art of Skin not only facilitated my connection with an excellent oncologist but also ensured continued care and support throughout the process. This early detection significantly improved my prognosis as a cancer patient. I can't express enough gratitude for the compassionate care I've received at Art of Skin. The entire team, from the medical staff to the front office, is genuinely dedicated to the wellbeing of their patients. Without hesitation, I would recommend Art of Skin to anyone in the San Diego area seeking an excellent place for dermatology care.

I can’t say enough positive things about this clinic. From its tasteful decoration to its friendly, knowledgeable staff, Art of Skin is a wonderful experience. I have been going here for the 7 years to get my skin treatments dine even though I live in LA! It’s worth the long drive and the traffic and would not want to go anywhere else. I go there specifically to be seen by April, she takes wonderful care of me, she is fun to talk to, and tailors each experience personally to my current needs as they change over time.

I would not recommend this place. My mom had a negative experience here where they burnt her chest and despite her experience I Went for a different treatment thinking it was a One off. They burned my skin as well, but not as bad as my moms. They gave me some super cheap product to put on it, which made it marginally better. I followed all their instructions and made a follow up. Return visit for the laser. We had a plan for how things would be done differently when I returned after several months, which is the only reason why I agreed to come for the treatment again. Three days before that appointment they call me and tell me that the PA needs to meet with me before she can actually do the treatment. I go in for the cosult wait for 45 minutes to meet with her to just be told that basically they don’t want my business anymore. They could’ve easily just told me that over the phone. Or the last time that I was there so that I didn’t have to take off two days from work (one for the consult and one for the treatment) to be told that they want to refer me to other doctors.

Looking for new doctors when you move is always a struggle, especially finding a good dermatologist who you trust with your skin. Look no further than Art of Skin MD in Solana Beach. This is hands down the best dermatology center I have ever been to. I regularly see April, who is the PA for Dr. Melanie Palm. She is AMAZING and has been instrumental in transforming my skin over the past 6 months. She always takes the time to explain every little thing and goes above and beyond to make sure your skin looks luminous. She will diagnose your skin needs and make sure you have a full skin care regimen by the time you leave your appointment. I have recommended her to so many of my friends and the feedback is all the same. She has a gift and I am so glad I have found her.
