Dr. Timothy P. Monahan, MD

Dr. Monahan has treated me for various conditions over the years and has always been highly competent and caring. He is one of the best doctors I have dealt with. Complaints about his front office should not deter anyone from seeing Dr. Monahan as his care is worth any unfortunate negativity from his staff being reported by disgruntled individuals.

Do yourself a favor and read people’s reviews. I thought how bad can a front office be? Well, absolutely horrible!! No clue what the they are doing and to top it off they are rude! I gave my name upon entering as people do when they have an appt. She said okay. So I assumed, okay! One hour later and still waiting as people who had appointments far past me went in. I went up to the desk to ask when I would be seen. They never even looked at my name or appointment time! Just left me sitting there and never even checked! They just didn’t care in the slightest. I will not be back! Especially after reading their reviews! Save yourself and drive out of town to a reputable dermatologist! Because I’m pretty sure you don’t want to go to one whose has a review titled butcher!

Awful. I've never been so rushed through appointments before. The doctor rushed through my assessment, then rushed my biopsy. He was so careless with my stitches that he was fishing around my wound with the needle to get the threads through. He did the stitches so tight that the nurse who removed them two weeks later commented on how terribly tight they were. I have more scaring than I have ever had with stitches because of this. He quickly took off his bloody glove after the biopsy and dropped it on the floor along with the bloody tissue (see pictures). When the doctor examined my biopsy sight (for literally about 2 seconds) after the stitches were out I asked what I could do to minimize scaring. He quickly told me that, after a few weeks I could rub the scar to keep it from becoming enlarged, but that I shouldn't do it for a couple weeks because it could reopen the wound. While he said this, he RUBBED THE SCAR with his BARE FINGERS and it started BLEEDING! Then he rushed out to his next appointment without washing his hands. So gross and such an awful experience.

Dr. Monahan and his entire staff are kind, friendly, and highly efficient. I recently had some spots of sun damage removed. Having never been through this before I was a bit nervous. Between talking about our shared interest in the NY Times crossword puzzles and him sharing his journey of becoming a Dermatologist, Dr. Monahan had me completely at ease. Everyone involved in my visit made it enjoyable, from check-in to check-out I was met with smiles. I highly recommend Dr. Monahan and staff!! (The entire office is immaculate as well!!)
