No. I have given this place a good college try, to say the least after about least 7+ years. I was referred by a friend couple of years before Covid and purchased a few different treatment packages over the years as well as post Covid. I can say with total honesty I only experienced 2 decent facials at Biotone, both of which were performed by an aesthetician who moved on, although not by choice my appointments were normally with the owner of the business. The treatments I received from the owner however were sloppy, rushed, one of which was so uncomfortable during and for several days after because she smeared a jelly like substance into my nostrils, so I felt like I was drowning while lying in wait under red light, then could not get this stuff out of my nasal passages for several days following the event. It was awful, but I kindly, quietly mentioned my discomfort to her upon next visit which was still sloppy, but without issue. Now chances are that perhaps if I had made some mention of who I was and or my family, these visits would have been executed with more professionalism, more TLC, but I just don't care to operate that way, I enjoy flying a bit under the radar, seeing people for who they are, true colours, motives, etc., all of which I learned with each visit hearing directly about staff and clients alike. April 2024, I finally removed this place as a viable option for skincare when I showed up for a rescheduled appointment apparently a day late (according to the owner), meanwhile I specifically accepted Suzy's scheduling offer via text for that very date as I had been traveling the day before. Upon arriving I waited and waited and waited, and after 28 minutes I very softly touched/rang the little bell on the reception desk (knowing full-well she already knew I was waiting as a pin drop can be heard in this place). Hearing the jingle she flew out of her appointment and so disrespectfully blurted out she was with a client (as if I myself was not one) and that my appointment was for yesterday. I had never had anyone in the service industry speak to me so rudely and I was initially embarrassed thinking I had scheduled the wrong day, but after looking it up, I hadn't. Mind you, this very same woman had cancelled/rescheduled my appointments on numerous occasions and always at the very last minute, so many in fact I couldn't count them on one hand. I was always understanding, forgiving, never made a fuss. So with all of that, I will say the RF facial is a waste of money and had an absolute reverse effect on my skin which the owner said is impossible, but all I know is that whatever treatments I was receiving there under her care were only doing harm to my skin, causing imperfections I never had before and still have due to this place. There are so many superior choices locally here or in the city. Believe it or not, Massage Envy of all places provides a superior facial and experience and the spa at The Peninsula NYC is utterly divine, both provide exceptional skincare results and welcome you no matter who you are or what you do, as though you are the most relevant and important client they have.. you know, as it should be.

I have been going to Biotone Skin Clinic for years and Susie who is owner and also a chemist is the most knowledgeable in the business! She always uses her Magic Touch on me for wrinkles and smoothing skin and I am a 69 year old woman and am told that I look in my early 50's. I wouldn't go anywhere else and highly recommend that you try Biotone and you can purchase a Groupon with a substantial discount for the first time...

Susie is so amazing! I live in NC and every-time I come visit she makes sure to add me in when she has time available. She is such a hard worker & is very knowledgeable in her field. Highly recommend going to Susie :)

Had my first facial experience ever at this spa using one of their Groupon deals. I got the microdermabrasion facial with vitamin c and then additional red light therapy. Susie did a great job with the treatment and was able to educate me on my skin type and needs. My skin definitely feels fresher, smoother, brighter and more hydrated! Thank you!

Susie has deep knowledge of her craft and a passion for excellence. She uses light therapy and natural products that work. She is a small business owner who juggles multiple roles. Her prices are reasonable. Her space is clean, cozy and comfortable. I’ve been getting facials for years and people think I look younger than my age. If you want results, this is the skincare place for you. If you want to be pampered, go to a spa.
