Very bad service. I came in to be checked by the doctor who walked in with his dog. I love dogs but I don’t think its they should be in a medical institute while treating patients with open wounds. The doctor looked at me for 3 minutes and prescribed a medication that was never sent to the pharmacy. After 3 weeks waiting for the pharmacy to receive the prescription I still am waiting they never received it. It is very disappointing since I came to their instaure years ago and was treated so well by the father who has retired. Things have changed. Unprofessional

You recognize a professional as soon as you encounter them. This has been by far the best experience I've had with a surgeon and the office staff in general. From the moment I scheduled my appointment to the moment I walked in the office, staff was so respectful of my time. Emily (medical assistant) was very compassionate and patient with me so it was Damaris they were both patient with me and gave me enough time to schedule care,pharmacies etc. for me. Dr Barry is the only doctor who dedicated I believe more than 30 minutes explaining treatment options, clarifying questions, throwing a joke (why not? Humor therapy is a real thing!) and putting me at ease. He is not a pill or surgery pusher, he doesn't rush you or himself through consultation (not typical these days especially for surgeons) and he is the most compassionate, kind doctor I've ever met. He included my husband in the consultation and he made us feel so safe. See...the medical field has become so impersonal, cold, business oriented where doctors don't take the time to listen to your situation/goals then when you encounter the opposite in a whole office team it is just the care you strive to have. He seems to understand it takes a team and the treatment starts from the way a patient is treated, with dignity respect and compassion. Needless to say I got rid of my last dermatologist and don't see myself going to anyone else but Dr Barry. Thank you so much for your knowledge but overall and primarily for your compassionate care and kindness. He is one of a kind for sure and as a bonus, I had a blast with his jokes! What else can I ask for? He is a blessing, Thank you!🙏

Steer clear of this specialist. It is common knowledge that the front office staff is a direct reflection on the Doctor. Dr Resnik’s office manager, Damarys Feliciano, is inefficient and lacks knowledge on pulling up accurate insurance coverage (to charge the correct patient’s responsibility), she is also aggressive and rude. This has been the case of our interactions on multiple occasions, each and every time. After my husband and I had a Dr consultation on 2/6/2024, Ms Feliciano wanted us to pay much higher than our patients responsibility Co Pay of $30, insisting we each owed $500. I tried explaining to her this amount was incorrect and not only did she not give me the opportunity to do so (she was aggressive, refused to listen and walked away) but she also didn’t take any of several subsequent calls from my insurance when they tried contacting her to explain our correct coverage and copay. Damarys Feliciano has been the office manager for approximately 5 years; we’ve been with this Dr for 20 years. Ms Feliciano’s unprofessional demeanor carries over into her job and it seems that she gets away with being rude. I sent Dr Resnik a detailed email on 4/18/2024, letting him know specifics after our consultation on 2/6 but I haven’t received a reply as of today; it is apparent that he is reluctant to address it further and he doesn’t value our family- patient - Dr relationship of 20 years.

The Resnik Skin Institute is MY Institute! Over 8 years ago, my fiancé at the time, now my beautiful wife of 8 years, found Dr Resnik after months of trying to find the RIGHT dermatologist for my situation. When I tell you that Dr Resnik is a God send, I truly mean it with every ounce of my being. Dr Resnik worked with me and my family every step of the way. Even though my healing journey had twist and turns, Dr Resnik NEVER GAVE UP. He even helped keep me focused on my healing. He is fighter for the well being of patients. We are grateful for his service. Thank you, Dr. Resnik!

I gave a three star review because the doctor was excellent. On the other hand, the receptionist that i spoke to today, I called to collect to explain the bill i recieved from 2021. This is the first time i receive the bill. She asked me if i wanted to pay my bill now. Since i don't have the funds at the moment, I said i did not want to pay now and thank you. She proceeds by hanging up on me on the spot. Extremely unprofessional. Luckily, they have an amazing doctor.
