Dr. Jack C. Jawitz, MD

Today was my first visit here. I ended up seeing the ARNP Amy, she was very kind and wanted to make sure that my issue was taken care of the same day since I have had this problem for a long time! I was very happy, I felt like everyone was very caring, professional and friendly! It makes a huge difference when you come into a medical office and you are greeted by friendly and happy staff members. Dr.Jawitz has an incredible staff and I hope that doesn't change. I will definitely be coming back and I do recommend this practice!

My wife and I have seen Dr. Jawitz a number of times through out the years, He takes the time to listen, he performs a careful and complete examination, discusses his findings, diagnosis and treatment. We never felt rushed. He clearly cares about his patients. infact, he offered to come to the house and evaluate my wife as she is confined to a wheelchair, and had no way to get to the office at the time. If that is not caring, then I don't know what is. He is the BEST*******

Very careless office, in the middle of a pandemic. I moved on. A small reception area and the receptionist has her mask off about 3/4 of the time and there is no barrier at all, so you have to pick up your paperwork in an area probably filled with her germs. Others gather there and talk, some with mask lowered. The assistant that did the scan did it so quickly I had whiplash. When she left, I was laying on my stomach so they could biopsy a place on the back of my leg. I got up and there was the other assistant, 1 ft away from me in a tiny exam room, without her mask on. I do have cancer on my face. I transferred to another dermatologist for the surgery.

There is a new provider at the location ( a competent young nurse practitioner) who has apparently taken over seeing new patients for Dr. Jawitz . I should have been advised of this however. This specialist appears to accept most insurance, which today is important, but the clerical staff is not able to complete the referral process quickly. The doctor appears to prefer that most skin cancers be treated by their in-house radio wave process.

Dr. Jawitz has a very calm and caring manner which immediately put me at ease. My first procedure required many stitches on my face, of course, I was afraid there would be a scar, but Dr. Jawitz assured me that there would be no scarring, and he was absolutely right. The staff has been with him for many years, and it shows. From the moment I arrived, I was made comfortable, and treated with care. I have recommended him many times, and will continue to do so! You will not find a better dermatologist on the planet.
