Everyone has different experiences with doctors. Here is mine: I have been going to Dr. Mendez for over 14 years. She discovered my cancer in 2007 where my previous doctor said there was none. I fully trust her with my life and I am always recommending Mendez Family Care! My only compliant is she has so many more patients I have longer waiting time to see her. But she is worth the wait to me.

They are super kind and respectful. But they are incredibly understaffed, I had to reschedule twice due to issues in regards to that. Also had to sign in 3 times because they are having IT issues. And even then I had to explain everything twice within 20 minutes instead of them both being in the room at the same time or just going off of the first nurse practitioners checklist that I helped her fill out. The main issue is that they are incredibly understaffed which is leadership’s fault not the people that I dealt with. They were all super nice despite being incredibly overwhelmed I could just tell. Dont go here. Its going to be a month before i get my stuff resolved at this rate if not even longer.

Not a good place. Recent loss of staff has resulted in poor customer service and rude behavior. Most recent visit the trainee assigned to speak to me could not explain what the results meant. I was a patient there for almost 10 years and NEVER met Dr Mendez. Today, after yet another mistake in what tests were ordered from the lab, I was told it was because of insurance. As I can pay myself this seemed disingenuous and when I said I had always gotten them before, I was told that want true. I have the results so basically I was being called a liar to cover their error. I left and will not go back. In response, Dr. Mendez falsely recorded I was “escorted “out of the office. Patently false. I’m glad to no longer be a patient there and hope that with fewer patients they’ll be able to improve their service to previous standards.

Very difficult to renew medications. I am required lab work every 3 months to renew BP meds I have been on since 2005. I am now out of my meds. I went to have labs today, (2024/08/22) and asked the simple question of, “Why do I need bloodwork to renew my blood pressure meds? The pharmacy and insurance company are curious as well. I was told the pharmacy ans insurance company are not doctors. I now must find another doctor that can refill my BP meds. Hopefully, all goes well and I do not die from not having them. Today is day 5 without them. I asked if she could check my BP to make sure I am okay without the BP meds. I was told, “You are here for labs not a visit.” I said wow you don’t care about my BP and being out of medication? She responded, “You don’t care about your BP.” Please do not use this doctors office. Being belittled for medical conditions at a doctor’s office is not professional at all. No reason to yell at a patient. I was also told they are short staffed with only 2 people and that is why they cannot answer the phone. If you have major health issues please seek a better health care professional. You shouldn’t have to deal with the offices stress issues when you visit. I hate to leave and start over but they are not meeting my medical needs come before any loyalty.

I have been with this practice for many years. Dr Mendez and her staff are very caring. Dr. Mendez's personality, warmth and tender care always helps me feel at ease. She takes plenty of time to answer my questions and simply talk. I appreciate her whole person approach to health and well being.
