I've seen at least a dozen doctors for various issues and this was the only one where I am genuinely afraid for his future patients. From the moment he walked in, he looked like he didn't want to be there. We spoke a bit about several procedures, including a chin implant procedure which he suggested. When I asked about genioplasty, he said that he doesn't do that. I was surprised, and mentioned that I only asked because it's on the website. He replied confidently that he's been doing this 25 years, it's his website, he would know what's on his website, and he's absolutely sure it's not there and I am mistaken. I was taken aback by how aggressive he was being and just said OK I guess I must have been mistaken. When he left the room, I pulled up his website, and lo and behold, it said clearly on the site that he did genioplasty. When his assistant returned, I just smiled and mentioned that it's on the website, and she admitted that it's true and it was a mistake. Even though that's all I said, he never spoke to me after that, didn't send a single apology or "my bad", and (surprise!), canceled the surgery he himself had suggested for me - the only doctor to do so - citing that I had consulted with other doctors and had other options. Most procedure guides, and even most doctors would suggest getting at least several consults before making a decision, so this was a weird reason to cancel, unless he was truly not competitive with other doctors or there was some other underlying reason. Maybe being caught being completely and confidently wrong made him want to cut and run. Surgery is a big operation, and complications can always arise. When things go astray, you need a doctor who will listen to you and is willing to work with you, not get defensive and cut and run. If this is how he behaves from a simple question where there is clear proof that he was wrong (see picture directly from his website), how would he behave if something went wrong during your surgery? What if he made a mistake during a surgery on you? Why would you take this tremendous risk with this person when there are other qualified, experienced doctors who are humble and kind? Remember it's potentially your life we're talking about. I've spoken with big egos in my past and one common feature they have is that they will get defensive and start talking about their experience and credentials when they feel like anyone is questioning them in any way, shape or form. I have never seen this doctor's behavior in any of my other consults with other doctors. There are lots of very competent doctors who genuinely care about you in the area. I know because I've met them. Dr. Duffy is not one of these doctors. Please do a few more consults if you're considering this doctor. Remember that when you're going under, you're placing your life in his hands.

Dr. Duffy and his staff are all incredible! This is the second time I’ve used him for an augmentation and both times he was kind, honest, and did an amazing job. Dr. Duffy and his amazing team performed a Bilateral Mastopexy procedure on me and I can't brag about them enough. Dr Duffy did my upper eyelid surgery about a month ago and I couldn't be more pleased with my results! I felt completely comfortable through the entire process.
