Kimberly Myers is awesome. Thank you for being the best!
Had one of the best doctor visit experiences with Dr. Miller for dermatology today. He was amazing, his nurse was very nice and I even got a golf cart ride back to my car. I will never go to another dermatologist, this is the doctor to see. He took his time with me, was very nice and thorough and just treated me like we had known each other for years even though it was my first visit.
Update: I spoke to the patient advocate who escalated my concern to someone else. I spoke to that person today who in essence told me that because I made an appointment for a specific concern that was all the office was able to do. It was a policy to only schedule time for the appointment requested. The only solution presented was to share the experience with the physicians office. I shared that I would be finding another practice because Watson is hiding behind these “policy” issues that seem to be recurring. Don’t waste your time calling patient advocacy. I guess they don’t need any more patients because he was not bothered that I am going to now leave Watson for all of my medical needs. Today I went in for an appointment at 4:20, I arrived at 4:15 to have a spot on my scalp checked. After taking a quick look at that spot I asked the dr if they were able to do the yearly screening right then that he advocated for. I was told no because there wasn’t time and they weren’t set up for that. I was also told that we were 25 minutes past my apt time. This is true but not through any fault of my own since I had to wait in b the waiting room for 20 minutes. So I was told I needed to schedule a second appointment with an additional $65 copay in order to have a screening. This is absolutely unnecessary when a screening takes all of ten minutes. This is clearly a result of overbooking or a blatant attempt at an opportunity to Bill the insurance company and me. I will find another dermatologist. This is not the first time something like this has happened at Watson and I think I will find another facility for all of my needs. This means they are losing a customer for family medicine, for the lab, for dermatology and for any future departments I may have needed. I hope it was worth trying to get more money because in my calculations they lost a lot more than they tried to get.
If you are at risk, go here for treatment. I went to Suncoast skin solutions in winter haven and my concerns were ignored. Watson found 2 melanomas and a basal cell which were ignored by Suncoast Skin Solutions. Watson actually examins you.
Doctor Miller is great, always patient and friendly, addresses all my concerns and has helped with my skin issues. Thanks!
