Dr Bahar Sumbul Yuksel I highly appreciate your service you provided me today . This was my first visit. despite the long wait, it was very much worth it. She took her time and analyze every part of my body and review every part of my medical record.
What is going on in medical billing? I visited Orlando Dermatology for treatment TWO YEARS ago. Today, I got a text for $10 outstanding balance for the first time. This is not the only case in which some medical office has months after treatment sent me a piddling bill that is months old for a service I can barely remember that I had. But TWO YEARS - that's a new one. So, I am posting this here as the first of many such posts going forward in an effort to COST medical practices reputational damage equal to their ineptitude for nickel n dime billing and delayed billing practices months or YEARS after the fact so that they might reconsider their practices.
I have now called SEVEN times trying to get a prescription refilled. The front desk keeps sending my call to the prescription line and when they call me back, they tell me the front desk needs to order it because it’s a custom script. So I call the front desk again and tell them I need a custom script and they say that not their area and forward my call. They could easily look in my profile to see what my prescription is and get it ordered yet instead, I keep getting sent around. The front desk doesn’t even take the time to understand what I am asking for. Not to mention, 75% of the time I call it goes to their voicemail.
I had my moles removed from my face today and had a very pleasant experience. Angie, the nurse, was friendly and Dr. Lateef was very wonderful. He explained what could be done for my moles in a very easy to understand manner, and everything was done very quickly. The procedure was done hassle free, and I am very thankful for their work. I had my face moles all my life and was always self conscious of them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I've been going here for about 6 months with no problems whatsoever. However, yesterday changed that. I was waiting for the PA and her assistant to return, when one of the office staff came in my room. Mind you, I was partially undressed. Told me that I have a deductible to meet( I have co-pays) and that I have to pay the deductible first before they can continue on, and they didnt catch it the last time .First, I have a co-pay; I made sure I got the best insurance my company offered due to having a deductible and a back surgery a few years ago. Second, why couldn't she wait until I checked out? What was I going to do, run out the door? I myself worked in a doctors office, and I never went in an exam room to collect money from a patient. If there was an additional fee, we waited until the visit was over, then collected whatever needed to be collected. So, that experience soured my opinion. It's a shame.
