Was really looking forward to scheduling an appointment but its a shame and disappointment that I submitted an inquiry by text and email almost a week ago and have not heard back, real bad first impression.
Dr Garyman and the staff is amazing.i has a treatment done for first time I was very nervous but there staff make me very comfortable specially jaya very professional and calm . I highly recommend.
I've gone back-and-forth on whether to post this because I liked the Dr and her assistant, but if my experience can help someone else then it needs to be shared. Only giving two stars for the reasons below. Went here initially for laser hair removal. It hurt too much and honestly not sure why because I have a high pain tolerance (or so I thought.) Unfortunately I'd paid upfront so the team refused to refund the balance paid. I didn't want to lose out on $700+ so had to use the money for something else. I decided to use it to treat scarring I had on my body. I initially asked if we could do patch "chemical peel" treatments but the Dr suggested we use laser treatments instead. Unfortunately this made the scarring even worse as they darkened and got larger. Someone in the office admitted to me that they'd also noticed that they had got darker. The Dr herself could see that things weren't working so she started to use different treatments, including chemical peels (which I suggested in the beginning) to try to remove the marks at no charge. I knew that she'd messed up based on the comparison images and the fact that she continued to try different methods and would do them for free. After 7 months of ongoing treatments, to no avail, I decided to stop going to Dr Grayman for this and took matters into my own hands. I still had over $300 left on my account so tried to find something else to use this money on. I can only blame myself for not listening to my intuition, as I decided to get my face microneedled. The first red flag should've been when the assistant told me that she's never done microneedling because she has sensitive skin and it takes long for her skin to heal (as do I) and the second red flag was when I called the office the week before to see what pre-care needed to be done to which the receptionist said none! All of the videos I'd watched online, and the aesthetician blogs I'd read, mentioned cutting down on certain medications and vitamins ahead of time. So the fact that the receptionists didn't have any pre-care information should've been the biggest red flag for me and I shouldn't have gone ahead with this treatment. Unfortunately I did go forward with it and was given minimal post-care instructions. I stayed home for several days afterwards to avoid being in the sun. I've never had any issues with my face before and decided to do the microneedling as a desperate attempt to use my credits. Based on what I'd seen online, microneedling can provide a glow and make skin more youthful. Before the microneedling, my skin was clear, my pores were minimal, and I never had any acne. Even as a teenager I was blessed to only get the odd pimple but I've never suffered from acne. Within a week after this treatment, I started breaking out on my cheeks. I also noticed that my pores were enlarged and visible. My pores have never been visibly noticeable, only when you get up close. Now you can see them from a few feet away. I am so upset! It's been 8 months since I got this done and I'm still working on fixing my skin. I have larger pores and hyperpigmentation on my cheeks from where my skin has been breaking out. I contacted the office twice to let them know about the issues I was facing -- shortly after the session when I first started breaking out, and a few months after when I got a full blown acne flare up. Only thing they've suggested is me scheduling a session with the Dr but I would never go there again! I told them that I'm moving and they FINALLY gave me a refund for the last $150 I had remaining. Had they given me a refund $600 + ago I wouldn't be fighting the issues I've had since. I'm so disappointed in my experience, and really wanted to love this place because the Dr is black so I assumed she'd specialize in black skin. But all 3 areas I got "treated" here ended up becoming worse for wear. Do your research first and ask all the questions needed upfront!
The office was very nice and I was seen promptly. The doctors assistant was very thorough and provided me with some samples to take home. She was the most memorable part of my visit. However, my impression of Dr. Grayman was not so great. I found that I still have questions after my visit. I felt like the doctor ‘observed’ my skin and that was that. She was rather dry. Also, she opened the door while she was examining me (and I was undressed)! I don’t know if I would go back or recommend to others.
Dr. Grayman is very skilled in what she does. She is also very kind, so she’s not just helping your skin she is building relationships. Furthermore, she is a very giving person. I don't know too many people that give out free samples. Thank you Dr. Grayman for everything. You have made both my son and his skin very happy😊😊!
