Dermatology Specialists of Florida

I went to Dermatology Specialists, gave them my Insurance Card and they told me they would call me back to let me know if they accept my Insurance. They called me and said I'm good to go and made an appointment. Went to the appointment and had a procedure done, everything went smooth. A couple of months later, I get a bill saying that they don't except my Insurance. The bill was over $2,000. I asked them why they told me I was good to go and then bill me? They said they don't accept my BC/BS. Then why did they tell me I was covered and made an appointment and at the time of the appointment, they didn't tell me I wasn't covered and months later send me a bill? So I set up monthly payments, I'm on Disability and fixed income. I have been sending them $50 a month for the last 16 months as I said I would. Today, I get a message from a Collection Agency, apparently, they want their money now. Even though they are the ones who told me they had to make sure I was covered before they could make me an appointment. I have made my payments and now even though I have made my monthly payments and have paid over half the bill, they don't have the time it takes for me to pay them off and turned me over for collection. It was their mistake in the first place. I felt like I was mislead and now I'm paying the price. I do not recommend them...

I've been coming here for years after leaving going to three other practices. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. I can enjoy the Florida sun without any flare ups.

The doctor who saw my son was excellent and very patient. The assistants were wonderful as well. Although he was moving during the treatment she did not seem bothered and attempted to make him as comfortable as possible.

Brandy at the front desk is super friendly and professional. Nora and Dr Lewis are both so thorough and friendly, they explained everything and asked about any concerns. Short wait, great experience!

Doc Bri is the most awesome, caring, and genuine Dermatologist I've seen in 20+ years. The wait was more than worth the care I've received from her office. Just have a shot or two of Markers and wait your turn.
