Excellent experience with my dermatologist today. Everything went great and smoothly from the beginning with the receptionist that welcomed me and then doing the normal check in. The nurse that I had also was very professional with addressing my concerns and learning about my visit for the appointment. Dr.Papastavros was also very thorough with my exam and made sure I had an understanding of my exam. Very thorough and I was very impressed with the appointment as I have been accustomed with. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recently, I’ve encountered some issues, and a friend recommended Hollywood Dermatology in Pembroke Pines. I made an appointment through their website but never received a confirmation. After waiting for three days, I decided to call them. The experience that followed was shockingly unprofessional. When I called, the receptionist didn’t even introduce herself. I asked her to check if my appointment was confirmed, as I had completed all the required information, including my insurance details, online. She informed me that they didn’t have my insurance on file and asked which one I had. After I told her, she said they don’t accept it, which was fine, so I asked about the cost for out-of-pocket payment. She said it "starts at $200"—for a simple consultation, not even a procedure. I told her I would call back after discussing it with my husband. However, she rudely interrupted me, saying she would cancel my appointment because my insurance wasn’t valid. I asked her not to, explaining that I was willing to pay out-of-pocket. Despite this, she kept insisting on canceling my appointment, and I believe she did. If you manage to get past this, I hope the office is worth it. Unfortunately, I ignored the negative reviews, and my experience didn’t prove them wrong. The call was highly unprofessional and frustrating.

It was very hard to find a skilled and caring dermatologist that could care for me at 63, and my mother at 89. Our skin has seen better days. Dr. Popastavros is the perfect fit. She is an excellent skin doctor, and a very nice person. Excellent staff backing her up too. Highest recommendation!
