From my first visit, it was quickly clear to me that Dr. Garcia is a consummate professional who cares about his patients. From the immaculate clinic with state of the art equipment to the comprehensive post-op care, there's evidence everywhere that Contoura goes the extra mile to produce results and to support their patients. Even their replies to negative reviews show professionalism and a willingness to work with the patient. This isn't always a given - some other clinics merely restate the doctor's credentials and insult or shift blame, and you have to wonder if that is how those clinics would treat you if complications ever arise. From the way I've been treated, I'm confident in the care provided by Contoura. As for Dr. Garcia, I have found him to be exceedingly kind and patient. Even though I knew he was one of the busiest plastic surgeons around, I never once felt like he was rushing through explanations. He even took his time to explain the pros and cons of certain options I never considered, provided advice on popular procedures that I should absolutely avoid, and suggested some strategies that would benefit me the most while saving money in the long run. It felt like I was speaking to a mentor who only wanted what was best for me. Furthermore, even though it might initially seem like an irrelevant detail, he gives a lot back to the community. That matters to me because it speaks to his character. At this level, most surgeons have qualifications and experience, so it basically comes down to whether the person is truly in it to help people or just doing it for a paycheck. I found Dr. Garcia's history of community outreach to be consistent with my positive experience with him. Dr. Garcia actually walks the walk - he behaves exactly as he comes across in person. For me, things like this go a long way towards building trust. I've met plastic surgeons (one of which is in the area, even) who felt like they were only there to complete a transaction for their own benefit - or worse. That's an unfortunate part of this business: qualifications and experience don't tell you what kind of person they are or how they will treat you as a patient, and it's not difficult to find numerous stories of highly experienced/qualified surgeons with poor ethics ruining patients' lives. From my experience with Dr. Garcia, I would trust him with any procedure he suggested and would recommend him to anyone.
