I was at a dental appointment with my husband today, waiting in the car with my daughter and 3-year-old grandson. After finishing with a customer, an employee from Estetika came out of her business and approached us. Instead of simply asking us to move the car, she made a comment implying that my daughter and I didn’t understand English because we look Hispanic. She said, "I guess my signs need to be in Spanish for you to understand them." I want to make it clear that this was not only unnecessary but also a racist comment. A polite request like "Please move your car" would have sufficed. I was deeply offended, especially in front of my daughter and grandson. I hope Estetika does not treat its Latino customers the same way. It’s disappointing to see such behavior, and I won’t tolerate racism from anyone, anywhere. I would urge people to think twice before making assumptions based on someone's appearance. A simple, respectful request would have been more than enough.
