Village Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery

I had my annual checkup today 11/18/24. Michelle Shinham was my Physician Assistant. I can't say enough about her. She is very professional, kind and listens to her patient. Now her assistant Italy was very attentive and pleasant. There was also a young man which I don't remember his name. Both assistants were very helpful and professional. My parents have been patients of Village Dermatology for years and recommended it to me when I was here in Florida on an extended stay. Mason answered the phone when I called originally, and was able to secure an appointment for me within a few days. My health care considered them ‘out of network’, but Village Dermatology worked with me on an agreeable payment in advance. I had the pleasure of meeting with Michelle Shinham, PA-C and she was wonderful. She was personable, attentive, proficient and confident. Luckily my concerns turned out to be ‘nothing to worry about’, but I would have also felt confident trusting her judgement if that weren't the case. It was such an easy and pleasurable experience even as a new patient coming in this clinic. I came in worrying about my acne and Joy addressed every concern that I had. She was even kind enough to do a follow up on it a few weeks after. Very thankful for her and the rest of the team who accommodated me!

Village Dermatology operates in a patient-focused universe. Each patient and their unique particular needs is the goal of everyone here. What works for one patient may be different than another. In these days of corporate-focused medicine such as the mega health care organizations, a practice like this is a rare find and a welcome relief. From the first visit thru to surgery everyone was super Friendly and thorough. I've been to several dermatologist in my life and felt Italy and Joyiena were a perfect team and took their time with the body scan. Dr. Tran did an amazing job with my Basil cyst removal. He is a very personable nice Surgeon.
