I was able to get a same day appointment. The provider I saw listened and diagnosed my problem(shingles) and the medication I was given helped tremendously. The pharmacy is also good to work with. I have been going to Palms Medical in Trenton for at least 40 years. (Even before they were Palms Medical), I highly recommend them for all your medical needs.
I always have a pleasant experience with Palms. I use them as my PCP and chiropractor. The chiropractor Dr. Frazier is so nice and welcoming. I always look forward to an adjustment with Dr. Frazier. Highly recommend this place.
PA Shawn Robertson was very rude and was concerned about forcing drugs for me to take than to listen to the patient from the moment she stepped in the room. She was disgusted and did not want to be in. It seems to me that this place is a pill shop just like most doctors offices in America today. I felt very violated and anxiety. While being there I was there for three hours and nothing was done when I mean nothing was done. Absolutely nothing was done. The PA Shawn Robertson made me feel all these feelings due to her negligence and explaining or even listening to the patient I don’t think that a pa should be the one seeing me when I was told that it would be a medical doctor. You are falsely advertising yourself as a medical doctor when you are a PA you have crossed the line screaming down the hallway stating that you will get paid for this visit no matter what you will bill my insurance. I’m gonna repeat what I told you in that office you will not getpaid for this visit. I will be contacting my insurance company and letting them know about their experience with you and that you did not render any services You did do no services and you were belligerent please stay far far away from this office if you care about your health.
I love the front desk staff they do their best to schedule and check when Doctors are running behind. It’s just extremely sad that Dr Rooney runs hours behind he takes at least 2 hours on a simple filling on a 13 year old child that’s gives no problems in the chair. If he’s unable to provide service in the appropriate manner he should try a different profession. Not only is he unable to complete a filling he denies care because he says the insurance doesn’t pay enough. That’s not the patients fault they can’t afford good insurance or that the doctor signed a contract accepting the fees for service. Don’t accept the insurance fee if you’re going to deny the services that’s insurance fraud. He will deny a patient for a crown because insurance won’t pay enough he recommends putting a temporary crown on a permanent tooth. Not only does he recommend that he does this to patients on a regular bases. Knowing that a temporary crown is not fully fitted to the tooth which will allow the tooth to accrue decay/cavity's and possibly have to be extracted leaving the child with a huge problem and even costing the insurance more money in the long run. He accepted the insurance contract but found away around denying patients the services that he doesn’t want to accept the fees for. He is setting children up for failure and does not even think twice about it. He’ll tell you just go somewhere else and that’s fine for the parents that understand what he’s doing but parents that don’t understand the difference between a permanent crown and a temporary crown it’s very sad that they would even allow this to be done to children all because they don’t have good insurance. Not even only is he committing insurance fraud he’s harming children without them even knowing about it. When you do inappropriate service on a child causing them the possibility need an extracting when you were recommending a root canal and a crown to save the tooth it’s just sad that a Doctor that has the knowledge and knows what he’s doing could even do something like this. * when they extract teeth they don’t use space maintainers * they recommend temporary crowns on permanent teeth *they require gas on all child under a certain age that they will charge you for even though your child has never had to use it any other time she’s been to the dentist. Just to make it easier for them. *thy won’t charge you the difference to do the appropriate service on your child. They just allow them to do inappropriate things because of how the insurance pays. * they will run an hour behind an rush you through your appointment causing them to burn your child’s lip
I have been a patient with Palms since March of 2023 and in that time I have went through 3 providers. Each one has left the Trenton office just as soon as they start to get things figured out with my chronic health conditions and then I have to start all over fresh with a new provider. There is no continuity of care with them. I just received a call from the office today, canceling my Tuesday appointment because my provider Jessica Sheffield is now leaving their office. I am beyond disappointed that there is nowhere in the Tri-county area that offers quality healthcare.
