I’ve got gone the last 10 years in the Atlanta area without a PC. Then I stumbled upon Dr. Moodys office, his front desk, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and phlebotomist, are all incredible. If you are accustomed to doctors through Emory or piedmont - this might not be the place for you. But, if you had a “small town” doctor / Nurse Practitioner and enjoy people having genuine personalities without corporate “fluff” I totally recommend! Everyone is polite, they’ve been able to get me in quickly on 2 separate occasions now - which is why I’m even writing a review! They have refilled antidepressants prescribed by a psychiatrist who wanted another copay to write a refill, and I’ve had every call returned so promptly. In addition to the quick turnarounds, the person you discussed the issue with has been the person to follow up with you. It’s so nice to find a doctor where it doesn’t seem like you are part of a corporate workflow. 🩵

Love Dr. Moody! Whoever’s job it is to answer the phones though.. I have called over and over for days to try and get an appointment. I’ve left a message weeks ago. Many times when I call it says its not their office hours anymore - when it is! If someone answers the phone they say “please hold” over you and put you on hold to never answer the phone again. And I’ve been on hold 15+ minutes and had someone answer and quickly hang up to get you off the line. It is so ridiculous. He should get on a scheduling app (“the scheduling app” perhaps). He’d save money on whoever’s job it is to answer the phone and have more appointments.

Cannot ever reach anyone to make an appointment - I have been calling for 4 days - trying to follow up after a hospital stay. Voice mail immediately states, our office is closed but then goes on to tell you that the hours are 8AM to 5PM Monday thru Thursday, Please fix your dang phone system. I have called 4 times today alone. Will likely end up loking for a new primary physician due to bad practice management.

Went once for an annual, wasn't super happy, wasnt a bad experience either with the doctor I saw but figured I'd keep going anyways. I have been trying to call the past 4 weeks and they never answer the phone. Don't return calls. Or they have the auto message saying the office is closed. During working hours.

Dr. Michael S. Moody👏👏 Life Care Family Practice He's a very thorough doctor who wants to make sure your TOTAL health is taken care of. Not only does he listen, but when I complimented him on checking on issues, that previous doctors have ignored and his willingness to send me to specialist to resolve long-standing health issues, Dr. Moody's response was, "I like people AND I CARE☺". I just started going over a month ago, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be there for a long time😀!! Also I discovered he was the primary care doctor of many people I knew & all had consistently, wonderful reviews of him! He is an excellent doctor. Been practicing in Douglasville, Ga. for over 30 years.
