The reason I am giving them a one star is because the office staff is wonderful. I had quite a few things that needed some attention and Joanne Lepke froze off some lesions on my arms, legs and my face. I have gone to other dermatology offices in the past and had the same thing done. During those visits the practitioner explain to me what kind of lesions I had and how to treat them postoperatively. This time there was absolutely no explanation, no pamphlets given of the lesions that I had and no instructions what to do post care. Also same of the areas that she froze are huge blisters. My last treatments never looked this way before. I would not recommend this dermatology office to anyone.
I am an RN with a prior history of freezing, 20 years ago,to my nose. It became evident that a new problem was developing in the same area. I also have a strong history of sunburn. I was treated with excision and cautery. The pathology confirmed moderate squamous cell carcinoma. NP Lepke was professional, competent and available. I found her skills and ability superior and the procedure was pain free after the numbing agent was administered. A diagnosis of skin cancer that requires a deep excision for cure is important to be treated. If there is scarring the responsibility directly lies on the patient. SUN EXPOSURE can harm and as fair skin humans we need to take precautions. Prevent Prevent Prevent 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Do NOT recommend. The 1star is because the employees are nice. Legit worst experiences ever. It’s a dermatologist office yet she’s a nurse practitioner, better off with your primary care. First waiting a month for appt that they never even put in so I had to wait another month. Then I was told “just keep doing what you’re doing” because literally every single thing she referred I had already done. Even though I was referred to go in for a skin sample, she wouldn’t do it and it turned out to be staph! Not okay. Not worth your time.
Joanne and her team are thorough, straight forward and have been the most concerned of any dermatologist check up I have had only Kauai in 35 years. Make a appointment, go see what damage you have done inadvertently to yourself enjoying the ocean and hours of suntanning.
Urgent Care doctor said I should go see a dermatologist. Did go & PA or RN said...I would not remove it...your eye brow will go up. And I get charged $75 for that advise! Did NOT see Dr. either. I still have issues with "mole". This office gets NO star...but had to choose one to get posted. If this turns out to be cancerous...they will not hear the end from me. Do NOT go to this dermatologist like others have said.
