I've been a patient of Dr. Martinez for five years and can confidently say he is the best at what he does. Whether it's filler, Botox, or acne treatment, he always keeps my appearance natural and respects my preferences—never overfilled or artificial-looking! One of the things I appreciate most is how quick and efficient he is. If you have needle anxiety (like me), you’ll love that he gets everything done swiftly without unnecessary discomfort. His pricing is very reasonable, and his staff is always welcoming and professional. I made the mistake of "cheating" on Dr. Martinez once while he was on vacation, and I regretted it. Other injectors take forever to consult, inject, and somehow make everyone look the same. With Dr. Martinez, I always leave feeling like the best version of myself. Lesson learned—I never go anyone else! If you're looking for a skilled, trustworthy, and efficient injector who listens to you, Dr. Martinez is the one!
1. Contact the IL AG with any billing issues: The Dr office's outsourced billing dept sent the wrong code to insurance for a 2023 treatment and the treatment was denied by my insurance without my knowledge. In mid 2024, without any advance notice that the claim was denied, a charge was made to my card which was kept on file at the office (I was not present) for a lump charge which included the full treatment amount plus a credit card service charge. The charge was done without any advanced or detailed bill/invoice. I triaged with the office's billing dept and the insurance company and after the billing dept provided the correct treatment code, the insurance company processed the claim and paid directly to the dr's office with an updated EOB. The doctor has not refunded the charged amount to me and has not responded to repeated requests for refund by me and the billing dept. The office also has not provided a detailed invoice which by Illinois law is required with or without request by patient. Without the detailed invoice, my credit card dispute was closed because the amount disputed did not match the EOB from insurance (since the charge included the credit card service charge). The doctor has effectively received 2 complete payments for the treatment and after repeated escalations from me through my insurance, the dr's billing department (all without any response from the office) I've escalate the matter to the Illinois Healthcare AG office and I'd advise anyone experiencing questionable billing behavior to reach out directly to the AG office-it is currently in mediation. 2025 update: mediation ended in my favor and I was able to get a refund from the Dr.’s office. Before refunding, the office requested through the AG that I take down this review as it thought it was “defamatory”. I was reassured that the refund would not be contingent upon removing this review. This review is meant to help anyone going through a similar situation. As always, good luck!
Had a fine skin cancer screening and then months later I am being hit with ridiculously expensive false insurance claims for procedures I never had done. Of course, now the office is “temporarily closed” and will not answer any calls or emails. I am now seeing all the other reviews explaining this doctor is a complete scammer- believe these reviews and save yourself the trouble and the HUNDREDS of dollars they will try to steal from you. They don’t care that I have other serious medical bills to pay for my cancer treatment.
The canceled my hydrafacial 2 hours before and still required me to attend a virtual appointment, which, let me say lasted 10 minutes. It was fine if it was an emergency, but if I booked the appointment for a hydrafacial and you’re not able to provide me the service, you should let me cancel without a “cancellation charge”. I went to the virtual appointment anyway - the doc asked me what products I use on my face and that’s it - no advice, no “do you have questions for me” - it was kind of pointless. I have gone here for the past 5 years, and there has been major turnover at this clinic, so something is definitely going on. I’ve heard things around the mill from the friends I’ve made there throughout the years, but I’m thinking I need to reevaluate things. Not the same service as before Go look at all the “newest reviews” instead of the most relevant before you make a decision.
I had a great experience here for quite some time, but they had me on the schedule for a time they were closed after offering to book me months in advance for a surgical procedure and sending me multiple confirmation texts in the weeks prior. After calling and emailing them multiple times prior and as my appointment was due to begin, I didn’t hear from them until days later confirming that, yes, they were in fact closed.
