Winters Family Practice

I have been coming here basically my whole life. I have noticed a dramatic improvement in the practice and I am forever grateful for everyone there. Fatima and Katie are incredibly down to earth and listen to my concerns- giving all treatment options and never making me feel judged. And NATALIE!!! Natalie is an incredible asset to the company. She truly has an outstandingly welcoming demeanor and I know she will always take care of any questions or problems I have. The front desk is very helpful, and they never fail to make me laugh. I’m grateful for this practice and all the help they have provided me throughout the years. :)

This "one-star" review is based on my interaction with the staff over the phone ONLY. I had brought my son to this practice many years ago and had a great experience and I also saw a doctor there myself several years ago and also had a great experience. My son has been seeing a pediatrician for the last 16 years or so and now looking to find a regular doctor as he no longer feels very comfortabe going to an office with all children. I called to make an appointment today and the lady that I was transferred to that was to help me with a new patient appointment was extremely rude. At one point, she had mentioned that there would be a cancelation fee if I couldn't make the appointment, which we were setting for the very next day so I asked her if she could please wait a moment while I retrieved something. I was literally walking maybe 15 seconds to my desk to grab my calendar and she basically told me that she had other people on the line holding for her and that she couldn't wait the 15 seconds for me to walk to my desk. At that point, I told her that the office would not be a good fit and now, after looking at other reviews, it seems other people had the same experience. I think this was probably one of the worst phone interactions I have had in my lifetime and it's a shame that the people answering the phone are that bad, that the doctors don't even have a chance to make their own impression before their phone staff ruins it.

This review is only for the way I have repeatedly been treated at the front desk. When I call the receptionist’s at this practice— for years have treated me disrespectful when trying to get in for a sick appt. Through the last decade, this has happened 8 times trying to get an appt. for a health issue verses just my twice yearly physical. Sadly, the doctors are amazing, however, the front desk staff are condescending and just plain rude. For now on, I will go to Sherman Immediate Care for sick appt. and be seen quickly and treated respectively. I should always feel welcomed and not frustrated and treated like I just don’t matter.

Some of the office staff comes across rude and seem like they are miserable with their job. Don’t make your patients feel unwelcome and like we are inconveniencing you. It shouldn’t be difficult to request a specific day/time for an appointment or a referral without receiving a nasty tone back. Absolutely off putting attitudes from some of the staff, get it together! The dr’s deserve to have support staff that is just as wonderful as they are.

We are a large family that have seen our fair share of Dr.’s. Dr. Solis is very caring with a great bedside manner & very thorough. My husband has had a medical issue that has required multiple Dr.’s to treat him. Dr. Solis has personally followed-up with the other Dr.’s & has not missed a beat with his treatment. Dr. Solis explains EVERYTHING & takes her time, no visit has ever felt rushed. Your not just an appointment in her office you are her personal patient. As my husband is on the road to recovery, I want to Thank Dr. Solis for continuing to be THE VERY BEST!
