I purchased a groupon for a swedish massage for ninety minutes. Scheduling was easy- the only good thing. I was called into the room fifteen minutes late. To start off the table was wobbly and squeaked making it uncomfortable. The music had commercials and was not relaxing at all. My massage therapist told me he specialized in deep tissue massage which explained the weird stretches he did with my arms and legs that took away from the relaxing experience I was hoping for with a Swedish. I asked him for a "little more pressure" on my calves and thighs. He went full deep tissue and behaved as though he was insulted when I told him it was too much. I have had many deep tissue, sports, hot stone, and Swedish massages over the years. I typically get a sports massage every 6 weeks. I have not been able to get in with my usual massage therapist due to a change in my schedule. I will never come back here. It was awful! Had I not pre-paid I would have walked out. I have never walked out on a massage!
Staff very unprofessional! Went for my first laser treatment, my appointment was 11am with Sydney, I was there 10:55, no one at the front desk! Waiting untill 11:15, still NO ONE! I tried to ring the bell 10 times! I even tried to call! And then finally around 11:20, someone came out, and said “I am sorry, I was doing a treatment, and I am the only one here”! And then said Sydney will be late! At that point I wanted to leave and get my refund back! I told that person, I have an appointment at 12 and I can’t wait further. So that person offered to give the treatment… The staff then showed me a room to change, she gave me a dirty looking small towel that would only fit a face not a Brazilian treatment! During the session, the person all most gave me a skin burn with the laser energy، and I asked her to lower it down… IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I would never recommend that place!
My friend and I purchased a Groupon for an IPL treatment at Aesthetic Center, Hinsdale., IL and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Everything went smoothly over the phone, with no mention of skin type or color—just a form they wanted us to fill out, which we planned to complete upon arrival, 15 minutes before our appointment. Upon arrival, we met Dawn, who was very kind and professional. She explained that IPL was not suitable for our skin type and could potentially cause harm, so she recommended an alternative treatment. We appreciated her honesty and agreed to proceed with a different treatment. However, when we went to the reception to fill out our information, another staff member suddenly approached us with a rude attitude. She abruptly stated that since we were not getting IPL, she didn’t have time to do any treatment today and insisted we reschedule. This was frustrating, as we had driven 45 minutes for this appointment, and we had two back-to-back slots booked. If there was an issue, it should have been addressed over the phone, not after we arrived. The entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. First, we were given an appointment without proper screening. Then, we were told to fill out forms for an alternative treatment, only to be met with hostility and refusal to proceed. It left us questioning whether this was a case of discrimination or just a lack of willingness to accommodate certain clients. Overall, this was the worst experience we’ve had with an Aesthetic Center, Hinsdale., IL. Proper communication and respectful treatment of customers should be a priority, and unfortunately, that was not the case here.
I am writing to share my recent experience at your Hinsdale location February 7, at 3:30, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. I had purchased a Groupon for an IPL treatment and, when scheduling my appointment, no mention was made about the type of skin or skin color that would be suitable for the treatment. Only a few minutes before my arrival did I receive a call asking if I had filled out a form, which included questions about my skin type. The staff member explained that IPL might not be suitable for darker skin tones. Since I was already en route, I asked if my skin could be assessed in person, which was agreed upon. Upon my arrival, I was told that my skin was not too dark for the IPL treatment. However, when I asked about potential redness afterward, I was informed that my face would likely be red post-treatment. Because I had an event later in the day, I chose not to proceed with the IPL and instead requested a facial, offering to pay separately. While the staff agreed to this, the facial experience was far from what I expected. The facial itself was poorly executed, with only a brief 10-minute massage followed by a 25-minute vapor session. During the vapor treatment, I was left alone in the room, and my ears became uncomfortably full of water. There was no communication throughout the treatment—no explanation of what was being done or any notice that the esthetician would be stepping out. This lack of professionalism and communication left me feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the service provided to future clients. Clear communication, better customer care, and a more professional approach to treatments would go a long way in creating a positive experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I booked 3 services. The first was rescheduled because the nurse was not able to come in. I did eventually get microneedling rescheduled, the process was fine. I booked another appointment that was canceled due to no nurse again. I was unable to reschedule in a timely manor. Finally I was able to book another appointment on 10-16. Much to my disappointment, I received another canceled notification due to the nurse. Some take time off, rearrange work or family for these appointments and 3 strikes your out! I received no apologies and not even a call, just a text. Beware, if you value your time.
