Core Dermatology Medspa - Moline

When my physician referred me to a dermatologist, I requested to be referred to a female doctor. I was told that was no problem and was referred to Core Dermatology. I was assured that I would be seen by a female doctor and was told the woman there are wonderful (I have nothing against male doctors, but I am more comfortable being seen by a female). I showed up this morning, checked in, and was soon brought back to a room. The nurse was very nice and went over what I was being seen for, and then said "he will be in shortly." I was a little uncomfortable finding out that I was actually seeing a male, when I specifically requested to be referred to a woman. However, when Dr. Evans came in, he was very professional and easy to talk to. I felt like he really listened and took the time to discuss everything with me. I would definitely recommend him.

When I was referred here, I checked the reviews online and was really worried. If it wasn't I'd seen other reviews on the doctor himself were good, I'd not have scheduled. When I went for my appointment this morning, I wondered what I was getting myself into. After my experience today, I am confused by previous reviews. The reception area and offices are clean, have pleasant displays of skin care products and information available for review. I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff. I was so nervous, I'd put the appointment in on the wrong date on my calendar. The front desk staff said it was no problem. They had a canceled appointment this morning and she'd get me in. She sent me a link to fill out the necessary pokerwork on my phone while I waited. (paper form is also available). The nurse called me back. She was wonderful! Very friendly and answered all my questions. The doctor promptly came in, he was also friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. He looked at the areas of concern I had, (two moles) and explained to me in detail what it was and that there was no need for removal as previously suggested by my G.P. What a relief! I'm glad I didn't go by what was previously written here about this office and made the appointment with them here. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. Even scheduled a follow up appointment in a year!

I would give zero stars for this business. Met with Dr J Brady Evans on 1/30/24 for continued treatment which insurance covers. Dr Evans came in did NOT do any review of symptoms asked how are you going to pay for this. Like he doesn't make money if insurance pays and not cosmetic. I then requested a refill to be sent for a compound and Dr Evans said I have a better way- laser. Who can afford that? I said no I will not do laser. Again clearly he doesn't get paid unless it's cosmetic. Mind you prior Alyssa did refill my compound the previous year. So asking another provider should not be a problem. He wouldn't refill it. I then asked for Alyssa to call 1 week later Alyssa called - said due to her colleagues decision she wouldn't refill I then asked for Dr Evans superior to call and Michelle Roth calls another colleague and said she couldn't refill due to Dr Evans decision. I am still waiting for Dr Joshua Kentosh to call. DONT GO TO THIS BUSINESS- wont do any alternate options if it is NOT cosmetic. Dr J Brady Evans is very rude, horrible bedside manner, very unpleasant. Go ELSEWHERE!

I made appt was able 2 get in within a wk , staff was very professional.. Dr.Evans listened 2 my needs and followed thru with what I wanted, felt very comfortable with him, I'm very happy with my results..I highly recommend him.

If I could give a zero, I would. "Doctor" spent less than 3 minutes with me. Didn't remove the moles that were requested. Advised he'd send a prescription to the pharmacy and I've had to call for 5 days to ask if they will send it, still haven't. I would NEVER recommend going there. There is no care at all.
