If you’re looking at reviews, no doubt you are looking for the best cosmetic/corrective surgeon for your needs. Look no further. You found him. His name is Dr Byun. He is actually the 2nd surgeon I had. The 1st attempt to correct my droopy eyelids, was 11 yrs ago. That surgeon failed miserably. As Dr Byun said to me during consultation - it’s like considering between a cheap contractor who will produce shoddy work & the expensive contractor who does meticulous & excellent workmanship. Lol. Take it from me. Use your money & recovery period wisely. Make that appointment for consultation with Dr Byun. Am I satisfied with the results? Absolutely!

I was a 63 year old woman with a droopy face - and the mirror just didn’t reflect the way I felt inside. After much research, I chose Dr. Byun for my facelift. He and his nurse, Lauren, took SO much time talking to me, showing me pictures, telling me about his practice, and explaining why his procedure was so unique. I’m now 10 months out and I look and feel so much better, so much more confident. Dr. Byun’s office staff is also incredible. Lauren and Lindsay are warm, friendly, skilled professionals that aren’t intimidating or uppity in any way. Such a different vibe than a previous doctor that I’d seen. I showed up at all my post-op visits with a list of questions and they listened and walked me through every concern that I brought in with me. Healing takes time and comes in phases, so I needed to be talked off the ledge a few times with a gentle reminder to just be patient. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Byun. He is an amazingly talented, detail oriented ‘perfectionist’ surgeon that performs cutting edge signature procedures that will no doubt be copied and become the norm in the plastic field. By repositioning the actual muscles in the face (not just the skin) his end results look incredibly natural. No ‘wind tunnel’ looks are ever coming out of his office! If you’re researching a plastic surgeon, your search should end with Dr. Byun.

Dr. BYUN is truly one of a kind. I have been a patient of his for many, many years. I have never considered going anywhere else as he has proven to me his skill has no limits, and I truly trust him. I recently went through my second cosmetic procedure with him and once again, I am blown away by his technique and attention to detail. He truly brought me back to my younger self, and I am forever grateful for this.

I have on very few occasions written a review. However, I want to share my story and my experience for all of you searching for a Plastic Surgeon. Twenty seven years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. From a couple of my other doctors, I was referred to a Dr. Frank Madda; a brilliant plastic surgeon, now retired; he placed my original implant and lifted the other for symmetry. Fast forward 27 years. I found that my implant needed replacement and another lift and tuck to make them symmetrical again. Gravity had taken its toll. After explaining my situation to Dr. Madda, he said, “I have a guy for you, Dr. Michael Byun. This is who you are going to see. He is a brilliant Plastic Surgeon. He will take the time to listen and educate you as to what he can do with what you have based on what your breasts have been subjected to.” My first office visit, he and his lovely, very competent staff, spent an hour and a half getting to know one other and discussing the possible realistic outcomes. I never felt rushed. I learned so much from them. Dr. Byun is funny and has a wonderful "bedside manner". He is very personable and has an easy manner. It is apparent he is very passionate about what he does and is very professional. He and his staff made me feel comfortable and assured me that I have a safety net and could reach out to them at any time for any reason. I fell in “love" with Dr. Byun when he said, “You are my patient for the next 30 years. We are a team.”For those of you who have or are contemplating writing a negative review or feel that you “didn’t get what you wanted”, I would ask you to consider this: were/are your expectations realistic? Did/do you have previous surgeries making your surgery more complicated because your tissue was less than optimal? (Like mine.) Dr. Byun has 30 years experience and will do the best with what is presented to him. As patients it is our responsibility to AVOID getting your information from social media and/or other media outlets. In my opinion, this will only set you up for unrealistic expectations. STOP chasing perfection and criticizing the outcome because you felt that 95% better was not good enough. To be able to understand what limitations you bring, and to appreciate whatever the outcome because it will be better than what it was. I can say this because Dr. Madda did not give up on me and sent me to someone who also considered and understood ALL of my history in order to perform a safe and effective surgery. He has given me his promise to share his expertise, as Dr. Madda did, for the next 30 years. This is priceless coming from two honorable and gifted surgeons. I am a retired teacher. I have always asked my students before posting anything to determine: Is this helpful. Have you consider all views different from yours? Is the reason you want to post valid? Are you posting from intellect or emotion? I think this is a good exercise for all those considering posting and the possible ramifications of doing so. Because of the time Dr. Byun spent with me pre-surgery and his beautiful design on how he was going to shape both of my girls, I am so thrilled with my results. I’m not sure how i can be, but I am sure I will be even more so, after the healing is complete. I appreciate how he and Lauren took the time to explain what and, more importantly, why he did what he did and what my responsibility is for best recovery: Relax. Take it easy. Sure. Not easy for me. I highly recommend Dr. Byun and his staff for any plastic surgery you are considering. I feel very fortunate to have had him recommended by another doctor who I respect and consider highly. I have since thanked Dr. Madda. I hope that my story has inspired you to reach out to Dr. Byun and his office. So far so good! I just had an entire facelift from my neck to my hairline. It’s been less than a month in the healing process but I can already see a huge difference between the old, tired me and the way I used to look. All good things take time so in a few months I’ll update my review with before and after photos. I chose Dr. Byun through a friend who made a beautiful transformation thanks to his artistic abilities. It’s been a few years since she’s had it done and each year she looks better! So after I did my research, I found he’s one of the best in his field. He and his staff are taking great care of me, answering all my questions and concerns. I can’t wait to see what I look like in 5 months++.
