Dr. Carrizales is extremely intelligent and explains in detail everything that is going on. I very much appreciate the insight into the dermatological conditions I have seen him for. Their office also does cosmetic dermatology and I was able to finally get lip filler! With his product knowledge and experience, he made the experience virtually painless and informative. He was able to achieve exactly what I was wanting. I would highly recommend him and his staff ten fold.

I seriously debated whether or not I should bother writing a review but finally decided today that I should. I’ve been a patient here for a few years and had no complaints until my last visit. Those complaints are pretty significant. I’d address them with someone at the office…if I could get them on the phone, but I can’t, hence this review. I suspect I’ll get their canned response to this review. Whatever. I had a 1.5cm cyst (not infected at time of excision) removed from my right cheek. At the time the appointment was made, I wasn’t informed the doctor would be going on vacation afterwards or I’d have rescheduled. This was significant because no one would be covering the office in his absence. The procedure was done on a Monday and all was well until Friday, when incision started to develop drainage. I followed their post-op instructions but the drainage changed over the weekend and it became clear I had an infection. I contacted the office on Monday following my procedure and was instructed to email pictures of the incision to someone who worked there, which I did. Crickets. I heard nothing from the office for the rest of the day, so I called back the next morning. I explained that I either needed antibiotics from them or I’d need to go to Urgent Care. Long story short: I was told by an RN that she’d call in antibiotics but she didn’t…not to EITHER pharmacy I use. Basically, the nurse I spoke to flat out lied to me. I tried their After Hours number (useless) and ended up at Urgent Care after all. The only thing they were concerned about?? Suture removal. I eventually called the office about this and was told (by same RN) that their office manager would contact me but she was “out of the office that week” but she never called me either. So, one star…you successfully removed my cyst which still hasn’t fully healed a month later. The final insult was promptly receiving a bill in the mail for a whopping $7.00 for…being sutured. Which was absolutely necessary for the procedure. A first in any of my NUMEROUS surgeries and procedures. Congratulations, you lost a loyal patient; a patient who’d been referring new patients to your office. Absolutely ridiculous.

I really like Forefront Dermatology. Dr C is extremely thorough and very informative regarding anything he finds on your body. He always has helpful information on OTC products to use on your skin and prescribes appropriate treatment when needed. I highly recommend Forefront Dermatology.
