Friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable and encouraging docs and staff at a quiet, convenient location - finally! I love the little touches around the office to cultivate a relaxing environment. The minimalist design and neutral colors of the new decor have a calming effect. The fresh iced lemon water was just what I needed to exhale and take my mind off the stressful reason I was at the doctor in the first place! It was quiet, and there was plenty of seating in the waiting area - even when it got a little busy. The location is easy to find - on the second floor of a tall office building on Causeway near 14th Street. There's plenty of parking and several elevators. I saw Dr. Charbonnet, and she was awesome! Not only was she the first to give me an accurate diagnosis, but I really appreciate that she was knowledgeable about how other conditions and medications affect my hair and skin. All the staff are pleasant, and my entire experience from making the appointment to checking out was positive and efficient. Although this was only my first visit, it was reassuring to see the relationships they have with other paients who've been going for years. I could tell that the Family Dermatology Specialists and staff really do treat patients like family.

Underwent what was advertised as an easy procedure that resulted in visible scarring and two new bumps on my face that Family Dermatology Specialists LLC said may require indefinite injections to reduce. The doctor had one foot out the door any time I tried to ask for any information about the botched procedure. She apologized at the time (for incorrectly diagnosing the original bump - which resulted in the aforementioned issues), but didn't come up with any plan or reassurance for me other than telling me to just come back every time the bumps inevitably returned.

I have been going to Dr. Gerdes for years and absolutely love her. She is very caring, thorough, takes her time with me and explains things well. Both she and her staff are always extremely personable, as well as professional. I never have to wait to be seen, which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend Dr. Gerdes.

There was no waiting and I saw Dr. Gerdes right away. She examined me expeditiously and called in a prescription right away. She is very helpful and professional. It was a quick and easy process and I was finished in no time. Very grateful for her assistance.

The staff were kind and helpful. Dr Charbonnet is friendly, understanding, helpful and knowledgeable. I also didn't have to wait to be seen by the doctor. I was in and out within a half hour.
