Grafton Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery

Always have a great experience at Grafton Dermatology, no matter what location! I've been a patient of Grafton Dermatology for over 5 years now and have seen almost every provider, and they've always provided me with exceptional care. The staff are kind and helpful, too. I recommend all my family and friends to go here.

I went to 4 appointments for a rash. First appointment I saw Elizabeth Arceneaux. She said she wanted to do a patch test but needed to see if insurance would pay. She gave me a steroid cream. It didn’t help, so I went back the next week. She again advised patch test and said since it was January, I’d have to pay as my deductible. I paid over $500 for test and visits. On third visit, I saw Dr. Grafton. He was first person to examine the rash in various places and said that patch test showed 1’s for three items. He said come back Friday and reassess but that we could also do a blood test and biopsy. Friday, they sent me to Thibodaux to Luke Paige. He was so arrogant and dismissive. He was a waste of time. He never even looked at rash when I tried to show it to him. He said I was allergic to fragrance mix 1 which was one of the three Dr. Grafton mentioned. I asked if it was worse than previous and he says NO. When I tried to explain that with my asthma, I never use fragrances and watch all products, he said, “Well do you go to your momma’s, your sister’s, Burger King?” They give me a link to a 140 page list of “products I can use” I explained that what if it’s not things I use, I can’t ask Burger King to use these. I then say that I’m 61 and never have had a rash. He says, “Well if you’ve never been pregnant before and you get pregnant, you’re pregnant.” I was appalled at his arrogance. That was so inappropriate. He doesn’t even know me or my history. I then ask what about a blood test or biopsy’s as Dr. Grafton mentioned and he say, “well, you can follow up with him!” I AM AT GRAFTON’s office for follow up at that time!!! I was so furious that I couldn’t talk and couldn’t wait to just get out of there. Luke Paige is an inconsiderate, dismissive, disrespectful quack who should never see patients. I then went to my asthma doctor who did a blood test and finds out in one day that the rash is due to my thyroid being abnormal! Grafton Dermatology wasted my time and money!

Drove over an hour to bring my nephew to be check for what his PCP knew was not a viral rash. Walked in and less than 30 seconds of seeing the dermatologist, Dr. Luke Paige, he immediately diagnosed him with a viral rash. Failed to give him a full body assessment or asked about his history or daily habits. Would have seen there were hives on the abdomen along with rash, but he obviously had more important things to do than to treat the patient in front of him. When asked what is his plan of treatment, he said wait a month then we will cut his skin for a biopsy. He has had the rash for almost a month already. The dermatologist lacked empathy and proper care. I would highly recommend putting more money into a dermatologist before waisting your time with him.

I brought my child in today due to him having a rash for 3 weeks now and his pediatrician could not figure out what it was. We saw Dr. Luke Paige and he barely ackownledged my child along with only looking at his leg and arm (rash is all over his body). Within two seconds of seeing my son and barely examining him he said it was a viral rash which his pediatrician already ruled out. I explained we already ruled that out he said well your pediatrician is not a dermatologist so he does not know anything. He offered to do a biopsy but explained it to me as cut my childs skin off which is NOT how you explain something to a mother. He was rude and showed no level of care. I immediately called my childs pediatrician and he said we will definitely need a second opinion because a viral rash is not it. Would NEVER recommend this place.

The doctor (physician's assistant) Mr. Paige, was very unpleasant. His bedside manner is terrible. The only reason we went here is because our options are limited and we drove in from 1 1/2 hours away. My 9 year old son was baffled by how ugly he was to us. We never got any real answers or advice either time. Just ugly responses about how the questions asked were stupid. Don't go here unless it's absolutely necessary, and then still consider driving somewhere else.
