I really should have listened to the reviews on here. This derm is run like a business instead of a practice, with little care for patients. I was seen for two different appointments and both times I was in the waiting room 15 min past my appointment time. I provided my insurance card both times, paid a copay, but received a bill in the mail both times. I paid the first one, but for the second, I was confused because they said that my insurance covers routine cancer screenings. I called the office and found out that they never once tried to bill my insurance, AND they also had completely incorrect insurance information on file. I told them to contact me if there were any issues billing my insurance and if I still owed anything, and they told me it was my responsibility to call back in a few weeks. I completely disagree - if you make a mistake, you should fix it. Customer care is not a priority here, apparently. I was also disappointed by the care I received by the PA. I asked for recommendations for face sunscreen that won’t give me a rash, and the PA suggested one that their office sells. I look at the active ingredients and it is exactly the same as one that gave me a rash. I thought that was incredibly unprofessional and lazy to not understand the products you are recommending. I guess they really wanted to sell me that sunscreen, regardless of the fact that it would react with my skin. Go to another practice where you’ll get good care, not be treated like a wallet at this place.
The clinic has its pros and cons. The pros is the friendliness they have when you visit the office and the attention to call if there is a cancellation for an earlier appointment. The day of the visit was good, the processes they have to get information it is also user friendly. The attention by the doctors and staff was enjoyable. The reason I am giving a 3 star is for the lack of focus on follow up or attention to existing patients. It seems that they will stand on their head to get you in as a new patient, but when you try to call for questions about a prescription or to change your appointment; it is impossible. I called 7 times to the front desk, I was put on hold for over 5-10 minutes each time. I called the nursing staff by selecting option 4, no answer; I do not have expectations for them to call me back or following up with me. So, I may have to wait to ask one simple request for my follow up appointment were I will be charged a co-pay and on top of that my insurance will be billed hundreds of dollars for a pharmacy change. If I was in the business of ripping people off, I would definitely enjoy their business model. I WILL UPDATE ONCE I SEE A RESPONSE FROM THEM.
Terrible experiences for both myself and my husband with getting skin tags removed. They do not successfully remove skin tags nor do they continue service to make sure they are removed. It happened this year and a few years prior. When called with concerns the calls are not returned, both times. They also proceeded to tell me that are phone. umber does not show up in their logs and that we never called. Nice way to cover themselves legally and NOT care for their patients. They also over charged our insurance. There is funny business going on at this dermatology center. They have lost our family as clients.
I had a really positive experience here. I saw the nurse practitioner and she could not have been kinder. I didn't feel rushed--I felt like she really took the time with me to listen, ease my anxiety, and answer all of my questions. I also got an appointment fairly quickly for a new patient.
Be aware that this corporation charges you 3% to use your credit card. They do not accept cash. So you basically need a debit card. Kinda stinky nickel & diming us to death.....
