My experience was back in April. I offered to pay my copay at that time, to which it was refused. Now, 8 months later I’ve finally received a bill. Seems a bit odd to bill so late after an appointment has been completed. On top of it all, it’s very evident that it’s a third party company, so more people with access to my medical record that I was not aware of upfront. Moreover, during the visit the provider didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable about dermatology in general as her immediate reaction was to biopsy all of my site concerns after she couldn’t identify with certainty what my issues were on my skin. Needless to say I visited another dermatology provider for which I’ve had my issues addressed with success and without a costly and painful biopsy. I’d suggest another dermatologist over this practice for sure.
I scheduled an appointment with Dr Surin-Lord 3 and 1/2 months in advance because it was the earliest appointment available. One day before the December 5th appointment I contacted the office to verify the time and was told the appointment had been cancelled due to Dr Surin-Lord’s unavailability. They falsely claimed they contacted me a week prior but cell phones don’t lie. If they had called it would be in the call log and they would have left a message. The receptionist offered a 9pm virtual consultation instead! The reason for this appointment requires the Dr ‘examines’ the skin for skin cancer and questionable moles. Frustrating is an understatement. Already waiting for something so unnerving is scary then to treat the patient like they don’t matter is unethical and unprofessional. Needless to say I have totally lost faith in this practice. Good luck trying to get in. I’m pretty certain you will if it’s expensive cosmetic treatments!!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The customer service I received was inconsistent. It was good sometimes, and bad when they seemed stressed. I’m out of state and very busy. I grew concerned that I never received my electronic paperwork, and we discovered the morning of my appointment that they had my name and email incorrect even though I had tried to confirm multiple times and was assured it was all right. As a result, I was offered to reschedule. I declined and offered to cancel then that prompted them to correct their error without faulting me, after being condescending to me as if the mistype was my fault. I hurried to finish my paperwork and remained optimistic about my appointment. My video chat with Dr. St Surin impressed me and she seemed knowledgeable… but that would be short lived after my local pharmacy never received a prescription from her so I called the office and my call was returned by the offsite team saying they had no prescription for my visit, then later calling me back “per the doctor’s request” to ask me if I knew what she prescribed—and Dr. St Surin still has not made it right to this day! My appointment was October 3rd. I did not receive a withdrawal for my copay until December 17th. Today is December 28th and we are days away from the New Year. It’s been months. I have been calling for months with no answer, and no prescription. If I do get a returned call—it’s from an offsite answering service with no knowledge about the actual office and they can’t seem to reach the staff either. I have begged for a callback from the office to make this right, but still nothing has been done—and the offsite team has no options to assist me without the doctor. This can’t be real. I called my insurance company to ask them to dispute the charges since I never received treatment. They called the office four times with no answer. My trust in Visage is gone and I am very disappointed by how they failed me. I wanted to give them a chance to right their wrong, but I will be filing a formal complaint and visiting a doctor whose office answers the phone with reliable customer service so that I can actually get a prescription for my skin needs. If you value your time and money, I DO NOT RECOMMEND booking with Visage Dermatology.
My experience with Dr. St. Surin-Lord and her team was awesome! When I arrived I was welcomed and guided. I was set up in an examination room quickly. Dr. St. Surin-Lord and her team explained everything clearly so I understood what their next steps would be, where there were options, what to expect, and what my next steps should be.
My experience with Visage Dermatology &Aesthetic Center has been very positive.The front desk was very professional and the nurse practitioner was knowledgeable and courteous. The office atmosphere is a reflection of Dr.St. Surin-Lord. The doctor is so very friendly and very knowledgeable. I was treated with respect and the treatment plan was pleasing and agreeable with me. I have mobility issues and I was assisted from the waiting area to treatment room.The wait time was short. I loved the experience at Visage and will continue to go there even though I live 45 miles away. I also ,have referred a family member to the office. Thank you for the love
