Tamjidi Skin Institute

Everyone that I've interacted with at this office has been fantastic. I've been a patient for several years and see Natalie (PA) regularly for skin checks. She always does a great job of explaining things and takes time and care to answer questions. Alissa (PA) is also wonderful. The entire staff has always made me feel at ease. The front desk staff are efficient and friendly, and the office has always been on time. I give them 5 stars across the board.

This office is disorganized, has poor communication and zero follow up. The full body check I was scheduled for was the least thorough I have ever experienced—-and I’ve been seeing other dermatologists, annually, for full body checks for 14+ years. The doctor, who has an unprofessional vocabulary, was too busy pushing cosmetic services, to be careful with my full body check. I required a follow up appointment and Dr. Tamjidi, her nurse assistant and the front desk all gave me conflicting directions of what to do next and when, which resulted in much of my time being wasted.

I had an appointment with Dr. Tamjidi today. I showed up for it, and they told me I didn't have an appointment today. Coincidentally, the doctor is out these past two weeks. I guess she canceled those weeks and no one notified me.

I called to make an appointment for a cyst excision and they said I could be seen in a month by a PA Maria for the appointment. I asked the receptionist if she would be able to do it if she is a PA and he said yes. I re-asked the receptionist and said she is going to need to make a small cut, remove the cyst, and stitch it up and he assured me she could do this. So today, I show up at 2:15pm for my 2:30 appointment. I sat patiently in the lobby until 2:50 pm when I asked the receptionist what was happening. After doing that I was given a room at 2:55 (guess they forgot about me). Then, I get in the room and Maria tells me everything I already knew about the cyst (because I’ve had these before) and informs me she cannot do the excision she is a PA. So I waited a month to waste an hour of my time just to schedule for a consultation at another dermatologist before I can even get my cyst removed. Somehow there were no doctors in the place to honor what my appointment was scheduled for which I found odd. Overall terrible experience and not my first time having an overall poor experience there. The only reason I’ve continued to go up until this point is that it was the original dermatologist I went to when we moved here. Dr. Tamjidi has clearly lost grip on what used to be a good dermatologist practice.

I’ve had a good experience at Tamjidi for dermatology and treating acne, but after a recent esthetician visit I will not be returning. I had a consultation with the esthetician for microneedling and asked if it would be possible to have it done on my skin, which had some mild active acne. She assured me that I could and she would just avoid those areas. When I went in to have it done, I specifically pointed out an area on my face that I would like her to avoid as to not spread any irritation. She said she would avoid it, but less than 30 minutes later I felt her go over this area several times with the needle. In fact, she went over every small spot of active acne I had. I felt frustrated and not listened to. The whole procedure itself felt sloppy with the needle hitting my mouth and close to my eyes in areas that were not numbed. I am now several days out of my appointment with the worst acne breakout I’ve had in years, and it only seems to be getting worse each day. Needless to say, I will be finding another provider.
