Advanced Dermatology BelAir, Hunt Valley, and Towson

I’ve had hydrafacials before, and I know what I prefer/ want. Sarah Dubois was absolutely perfect. From detailed information about my skin, to healthy at home routines -she was more than what I expected. She gave my skin an in-depth cleanse, followed by a facial massage that left me feeling great. She got the drippies so they didn’t get in my ear or bother me and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I can’t afford regular facials- but knowing that she is close to my work and gives such great service, I will certainly save up and splurge more often. I’m recommending her to my mom!

Super impressed with the service here! I was able to get an appointment very quickly at the Hunt Valley location, even being a brand new patient. All of the staff was very welcoming and very efficient. I saw Jeannie and she seemed very skilled and professional. Even with a thorough exam, a couple of freeze spots, and a lot of conversation, I was finished in a timely manner and never felt rushed. Thumbs up to this practice!

I am leaving this one star review due to negligence and the deprioritizing of immunocompromised patients at Advanced Dermatology. I received a text alerting me that it is time to schedule my full body exam. I work with immunocompromised people and am exposed to the public through service work, so I inquired about their COVID precautions and H1N1. They informed me that masking is optional as per CDC’s recommendations. When I provided more information about COVID today, they told me that it is their company policy that masks are not required and that I do not have to make an appointment if I do not feel safe. I came to Advanced Dermatology at the recommendation from family and I find it unprofessional for a medical office to not be willing to inform themselves of best safety practices when they help patients identify skin cancer—a condition that leaves you immunocompromised. Thus it would not be safe to make an appointment with them. This is not an anomaly today, but medical professionals need to remember that their jobs serve other people just as service workers are aware that we serve other people—not just our companies.

Wow, what an excellent practice! From the girls at the front desk to the nurse and Dr. I met with Tatiana and Dr. Ben, both were amazing. Dr. Ben truly listened to my concerns and addressed the issues at hand. Tatiana was very nice and personable. They were both wonderful. I didn't feel like I was being rushed or that the dr really didn't have time for me. When I first entered the office, I saw the skin care items for sale and thought to myself "great, they are going to be pushy sales people" I was pleasantly surprised when there was absolutely no mention of buying anything from them. I am so glad I decided to make an appointment. I am looking forward to my follow up.

In Feb 2018, I used Dr. Chris Englert for an earlobe reconstruction surgery & I absolutely hate the results I’ve been left with. I went in for the surgery, discussed what would be done, what my results would look like, etc. Afterwards I was able to look in a mirror, the results were nothing like I pictured... my right lobe I could deal with but my left lobe looked HORRIBLE. I was told that it was just from the swelling & that we would do some revisions once they healed more. When I went in for my revisions, I was given ONE option by Dr. Cooper, to cut off a small point/flap of skin left on my left lobe. But that would have left my lobes even more uneven than they already were/are so I asked if they could do small revisions on both of them to make them more even & was told absolutely not. I asked about filler for my left lobe, but I would have again had to pay out of pocket & the results for that would have only lasted 3-6 months. Years & years later, I still hate the way my ears look. I spent $700 out of pocket to have them look even worse than when I had come in needing the surgery & will have to spend even more to have them corrected at some point. Photos are Feb 2018/Jan 2019/Dec 2020... Please save yourself the trouble & see a plastic surgeon who specializes in lobe reconstruction if you’re considering their office(s) for this.
