Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery - Fort Washington

Scheduled a surgical appointment with Alicia Torres for my day off, just to get a call that that appointment was cancelled, and that I would be getting a call back to reschedule. Never got that call. Called the office to find out what's going on just to find out that my appointment was moved to April. Needless to say they just lost a patient. Great way to run a business.

Dr. Crawford has to be one of the rudest dermatologists I’ve ever encountered! The office wasn’t busy, but the way how she rushed the whole appointment was ridiculous. I waited longer in the waiting room than I was in the office. I didn’t feel heard about my condition and she tried to make me feel like I was educated on the process to be able to get the medication that I’ve been using since I was a teenager. I’m telling her topical ointment doesn’t work for my skin and she still prescribes me with them by basically telling me it’s gonna work, like that’s gonna ease my mind. I already went to get my blood drawn so that I can be able to get my injecting medication but I definitely want a different doctor. And if all the doctors are like her or near to her, that would be the last time. She’s came off colder than a corpse. And I’m a new patient. Definitely not a good look for the office. Her higher ups needs to teach her to be more personable and kinder to her patients

Waited an 1hr 15 before being seen. Once seen the tech who obtains initial info was warm and welcoming, express apologies for the extremely long wait time. Dr. Crawford on the other hand, was not anyone I would recommend anyone to see. She appeared to be irritated and uninterested in her clients concerns. She did not have any bedside manners. To add insult to injury, I paid for poor service to still not have my medication called in. I’ve left a vm requesting to have my meds called in following my appt, it’s been a week, still no return call or meds. If you have a very busy life, this location isn’t the one to visit. It appears they are a well organized office.

I had an 8:10am appointment to see Dr. Crawford. I came in and within 5 mins I was ushered to an examining room-where I sat for 20 mins. I came out to see was happening and was told the doctor was stuck in traffic. My response was why didn't anyone come back to the examining room to communicate that to me. The reason why I made an early appointment is because I have other things to do with my day. Dr. Crawford is not approachable and her bedside manner does not exist. When I met her a month ago, I gave her the benefit of the doubt(she literally saw me for 5 mins). She didn't talk to me didn't inquire about the reason for my visit. She agreed with the evidence of my condition, wrote a prescription and that was that! As I was making another appointment with another doctor she arrived at 8:35am(if I was that late, they would have charged me for missing my appointment). This woman came in, walked passed me and did not acknowledged that she was late nor rendered an apology! Let me say this: people will treat you the way you let them-doctors are not God and they are not exempt from humanity. I will not allow Dr. Crawford or any other healthcare professional to make money off of me without bothering to know me and treat me the way they expect to be treated-they are patience too. So anyone looking to see a dermatologist-don't see Dr. Crawford at the office in Ft Washington, MD. I am going to give another Dr. a chance to change the feelings I currently have, but I will continue to shop around until I get what I need for my well being!

I came for a preventative skin check. The whole process was easy and comfortable. I appreciated an easy check in using an iPad. I waited 5-10 min and no wait time once I was in the exam room. Both the nurse and nurse practitioners treated me in a friendly and kind way. I was out 30 min past my appointment time. I'm very happy to have a reliable dermatologist office in a close proximity of my home.
