Love the location of this store, conveniently located inside Waugh Chapel shopping, which allows people to stop by and grab the things they needed after dinning at the restaurants nearby or while doing errands run at Target or Wegman’s. Parking: large shopping center parking lot. Inside shop: spacious, fairly clean, did not see too many staff in the shop, well stocked on most of the shelves, has one of the largest Styling Tools section. Service: we did not need any customer service on this trip, but when in line to check out, there was only 1 staff behind the counter while 3-4 customers were waiting in line. Wait was not long, so we didn’t mind. It was a weekday afternoon, so not as busy as the weekend, not sure if that’s why staffing was low, or some were happened to be on break at that time frame. Store is clean and well kept but I was not happy with the beauty service I received. This afternoon I got a blow out and styling. My hair still looks dry and not completely finished. I typically have shiny silky hair after getting my hair done. My hair looks frayed and doesn’t feel smooth at all. I had to request my stylist to go over my hair one more time, she only did the front top area. And even after that it still does not look good. I also have curly roots in the back, the flat iron didn’t touch the roots in the back at all. I now have to go home and redo my hair. Which is not the point of going to a salon and spending money to get my hair done. I am INCREDIBLY frustrated and will not be returning. Worst $79 spent. I have so much regret.

The customer service is not it here! It felt as if I was bothering the employees just by asking them to get me a perfume or simple questions. A lot of things were out of stock as well in the store, the energy of the employees killed my whole shopping trip. I spent 500+ and wanted to get more perfumes, but the employee seemed annoyed with my two perfume request (because they have to unlock it and type something in on their device). I asked another employee respectfully if they could help me with the perfume, and she said I'm busy with another customer, go find someone in the front or around the store (LITERALLY SEARCHED FOR someone else before coming to her), and she eventually paged someone. Furthermore, I wouldn't recommend shopping at this LOCATION unless you're desperate and need need a product!! 0 star reviews are getting deleted as well

I haven’t had problems at this Ulta before and have been living here for years with good experiences! But today I went because I needed to get more products for hair wash day the next day and had a $150 gift card from my birthday (A Zillion gift card which is a process just fyi). And while in the back looking at the curly hair care section I noticed a man looking at me and walking around pretty much following me and it made me uncomfortable. I tried to just get my stuff and get to check out fast because I wasn’t sure why he was there at every turn. In my opinion I feel my image is important to the story, so I will say I am a black woman, who’s hair was pulled back in a way that may not be perfect for societal standards (hair wash day is tomorrow!) and I was wearing a mask because I was getting over a cold and there’s a pneumonia outbreak in young adults currently. I got to the front and proceeded to checkout and explained to the cashier my concerns and after describing him she explained that was their own security. I’m sorry but that just doesn’t sit right with me. Outside of my appearance I’m not sure what I did to give the opinion on being a thief. The cashier was SUPER friendly and apologetic and is the reason for the 3 stars tbh. But especially during this civil uneasy time we’re in, I find that really upsetting. And I’m privileged this hasn’t really happened to me before and I’m upset that it happened in an Ulta of all places! While I appreciate the apology I would have greatly appreciated not being treated like a criminal. Do better please.

The employees at this ulta were absolutely amazing and so welcoming!! Nelson ( I’m hoping I’m spelling it correctly) in the MAC section was particularly extra extraordinary, pleasant, kind & so knowledgeable 🤍 Nelson was able to match me with all the products I have been needing to bring my face back to life 🫶🏼. I 100% will be coming back when I’m in need of a match for other products !!
