Brooke is wonderful! She is kind, thorough and makes you feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She explained my procedure step by step. The medical assistants are great too, very professional. Highly recommend.

With their easy and courteous manner, Dr. Krathen, his medical assistants, and staff could not have made me feel more comfortable and secure during my recent visit for an excision. I was particularly pleased that they took time to thoroughly answer my questions and, most helpful, provided me with very detailed wound care instructions and descriptions of what I might expect during healing. Without reservation, I highly recommend Essential Dermatology for your skin care needs.

I remember going to Essential Dermatology a couple of years ago and my experience at Essential Dermatology was terrible. Every time I had an appointment with Dr. Krathen, he would throw suggestions on what sort of treatments I may want to try or he would also try recommending other Dermatology places. The fact that he recommended other dermatology places for me shows that he didn't want anything to do with me. I have been struggling with Acne Scars for a while now and I am just trying to find a professional who will say what the best treatment is and why this treatment is the best one to go with. I shouldn't go to a Dermatology place where the Doctor asks me what I want to do or the doctor looks up other dermatology places for me to check out. Also, one of the colleagues there Alejandra really needs to work on her customer service. I messaged Essential Dermatology through a Patient Portal every time I needed to make an appointment, or needed to cancel an appointment or If I had any questions about the treatments. As a customer who is PAYING for treatments I have every RIGHT to ask as many questions as I want. This is my face I want to treat and I do not care if you are annoyed by the multiple questions I am asking. Alejandra said on our phone call that I am always constantly going "back and forth" with these treatments. It is treatments at the end of the day and I have every right to ask several questions. It is your JOB to answer any sort of questions I have about treatments I want to have. The fact you actually got annoyed on our phone call and said a comment like that is very unprofessional. It's really tough trying to figure out what treatment I needed to have for my acne scars when the doctor himself was just throwing out suggestions. I do not know what is the best solution, YOU SHOULD be offering me one solution and be confident about that. How am I supposed to know what treatment I want If the doctor himself is UNSURE what the best solution is? I had to do my own research about every treatment that exists for acne scars. At this point I should've became a dermatologist. Essential Dermatology really needs to consider who they hire going forward because customer service like this should not be tolerated. Dr. Krathen also comes off very awkward and he has no personality at all. Glad to see how passionate you are with your job. How about you try putting on a personality for once.

Dr Krathen and his staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend them. Very professional. Office was clean and all staff are kind and friendly. They took great care of me during and after my procedure. I am impressed with the follow up care they are providing me. Would definitely use them again. Thank you Dr Krathen and Staff

Excellent care for my teen son. Brooke is fantasic, very thorough, takes time and really cares. It's been a great experience!
