Alissa Lamoureux, DO, FAOCD, FAAD

I had an appointment with Dr. Alissa Lamoureux a few years ago with some mild skin eczema. The office was super clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly, however appointment itself felt awkward and not only did Dr. Lamoureux misdiagnosed eczema for psoriasis, but also I felt like she was under tons of stress during the entire visit and performed the whole body skin check with a very rude attitude. This entire visit made me feel so embarrassed and humiliated, and she also prescribed a topical cream with serious side effect - which was totally unnecessary. Her theory that patient with skin conditions around mouth and b*** are typical psoriasis patients was super wrong - it should be elbows and knees, nails, and inside of mouth, which I absolutely don’t have. She even said with confidence that I would start to feel joint pain later in my life with a very cold tone. This is truly the most hilarious and worst experience I ever had with a doctor.

SO glad we found Skin Derm and Dr. Lamoureux! The office is clean, bright and very welcoming. All if the staff was super friendly and compassionate. Dr. Lamoureux took the time to listen AND fully explain pros/cons of various treatment options. We felt heard and very positive that we're moving in the right direction.

Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Alissa and her staff- Upon contacting her office and expressing concerns I had related to recent changes in skin, they were able to fit me in on relatively short notice- Not only was I treated with care, compassion and kindness during my entire visit, I was contacted by her staff the following day to unsure that I was feeling well and had no further questions and/or concerns. Alissa was professional, knowledgeable and confident in her assessment and treatment, as was her entire staff!!

Visited on 10/26 for a skin appointment. The office is extremely clean and welcoming, all staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr Lamoureux is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She came up with a plan for my skin and explained everything in great detail. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit. Everyone was polite, professional and kind. The office is very clean and comfortable. Dr. Lamoureux is very sweet and took her time. I didn't feel rushed through my appointment.
