Dr. Goodkin took my funky mole concerns seriously, after my former dermatologist was very dismissive, and they did indeed need to be removed. Her staff are great and it’s always a pleasure to be in her office. So grateful my PCP recommended her practice.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Goodkin for a couple of years and our experience has been very positive. The doctor and staff work very well together; wait time is minimal and exams are thorough; the doctor communicates well and although exams, a brief, she misses nothing!

I saw Dr Goodkin because of my melasma. It’s all over my face, it’s really affecting my skin appearance. After seeing her 4 times in 6 months, following her instructions and advice. I don’t have brown spots/melasma anymore. I highly recommend Dr Goodkin.

My experience with Dr. Rashel Goodkin was disappointing, ineffective and a waste of time. She was quick, she was cursory—she barely looked at my issues— and she did nothing. As someone with excellent insurance and positive past experiences with dermatologists prior to living in MA, I had expected a standard of care that at least suggested interest and competence in resolving my problem. I had a bad feeling from the moment Dr. Goodkin entered the room-- not looking at me-- while saying, "nice to meet you" and quickly situating herself with her back to me in front of the computer. I described my problem areas —two spots/circular areas (to be brief here) --and wanted her to remove/treat them. Her main focus was on repetition of this mantra —"insurance will only pay if it is itching, bleeding or painful." I asked a few other questions and received the same response. Then I asked her “Does this mean you are telling me to make another appt and say it’s itching, bleeding or painful?” She was completely disinterested in knowing that at the time the appointment was made—about 90 day waiting period--one of the spots had been itching and bleeding. I also wanted her to look at something on my face—meaning under a light—not while sitting across from me and barely touching my face. In my experience a dermatologist or any medical professional usually looks at an issue closely and carefully and wants to resolve it for the patient. Prior visits to other dermatologists have always resulted in treatment—something was removed or treated with medication—and covered by insurance. The whole Dr. Goodkin experience was very odd, weird and disconcerting. Fortunately, at least with no treatment there was no hurried or botched medical procedure.

I expected a new patient appointment to consist of a full exam, but none of my skin was actually looked at, which is strange. The visit felt extremely rushed (was around 11 minutes start to finish, most of this time with the intern or assistant), and cost me $425. I selected a female doctor specifically and was greeted by a young man to do most of my "intake" which I wish was communicated. I'm disappointed to say the least, but will say the office staff themselves were very friendly.
