It’s always such a pleasure to visit KWest Spa and experience Katie’s intuitive treatments. I’m a big fan! However, I want to share a different kind of experience I recently had there. I noticed that as I’ve aged (I’m 67) my face (especially my eyes) has changed. I felt that my go to makeup moves weren’t working for me anymore. So, I booked a makeup lesson with Brian. I was instructed to bring my makeup. Brian was able to show me how to use what I had and also told me about a couple of amazing products that I went out and immediately purchased. Brian is such a good teacher. He patiently modeled how to apply different products and then had me try. He wrote down product suggestions. Finally, he made me a video where he talked through the steps on how to do my eyes. I was amazed at how natural I looked and “not tired” which felt wonderful. Brian has done my brows in the past and is skilled in that department as well. If, like me, you have been doing the same make up routine for years and are ready for a change, I highly recommend booking a lesson with Brian. He’s the best!

If you haven't had a KWest facial you can't imagine what you are missing. Katie is so talented in creating a unique experience tailored to your specific needs. The space is b e a u t i f u l and so relaxing. Clean high quality products are used and sold here. Highly recommended!

I had a signature manicure and pedicure this past weekend from Miranda. The pedicure space is beautiful, the music soothing and Miranda was nice to talk to through the two services. I also appreciate them checking temperature at the door, asking people to remove their shoes at the door and requiring hand sanitizer or hand washing before proceeding into the space. The pedicure chair/bowl combo isn't ideal for a plus size person, and while the bowl is very aesthetically beautiful, it isn't ideal for those that are bigger or mobility challenged. My heels still felt very rough after they were filed, which makes me wonder if she didn't feel them before she moved on to the next step I should have examined my fingers and toes more carefully before leaving. It does not appear that the cuticles were pushed back on my left hand, they were not trimmed on either hand and the polish is lifting at the edges on several nails and has fallen off in one piece from one nail completely. The color is thin in some spots and very thick in others, leaving my fingernails looking patchy. When I pointed it out on one nail toward the end of the manicure, she quickly redid the polish but it looked just as bad when it was redone. The polish on my toes is full with little shine but is more uniform in appearance than my fingernails. It was $105 for the services and with this quality of work, I don't plan to return. Again, the space was clean, Miranda was very nice, but the quality of the work preformed was poor, in my opinion.

Katie is extremely intuitive and intentional with her craft. I have super sensitive skin and it always feels so calm and radiant after my facials at KW. The experience is meditative, healing, and unlike any other. Not to mention, the atmosphere in the spa is so beautiful! I appreciate how detail oriented Katie is and she is the only one I trust. I recently moved to Seattle and wait to book my facials when I visit Michigan.

I had a facial today with Katie Westgate and it was sublime! As she performed the facial and massage, the word that kept coming to my mind was reverence. The experience felt like a meditation and I left feeling calm and grounded, grateful for the care and respect she bestowed upon me. She has a deep and enlightened knowledge of the skin and she infuses that into every aspect of her services. Her spa is a peaceful oasis amidst the chaos of daily life. Highly recommended!
